This is what every collector dreams of, a "perfect barn's find." It's getting harder to find a Metropolitan "builder" or almost complete "parts car." Originally sold in Calif. with black plate. I bought this car for the 3-speed transmission my car was missing, which I will keep, i.e., the transmission is not part of this listing. Now it needs to find a good home. If you are interested in rebuilding, and you bid Buy It Now, I would include my automatic transmission. If you win otherwise, it would be an additional modest amount at "my cost." Car is pretty complete, but not 100%. Engine turns over by hand. It can't be test run as the starter has a bad bushing and damaged washer on the Bendix drive. So it is sold as is with no warranty. Some of the things that are missing are front and rear glass, front bumper, rear bumper guards. Front fenders are detached with 2 missing bolts near the doors. There is some body work required on the lower part of the left door as shown in the picture. The right side, trunk and rear end look fine. Paint is original White and Autumn Yellow. Doors glass are good and roll up and down. Seat upholstery is original White on Black and worn from age. The former owner for many years was going to restore it. He took off some hardware and stored them in the trunk. This is for local pick up..... I would cooperate with your shipper. I would accept a paint job or complete upholstery work on my Metro in exchange for the Buy It Now price.
