Vehicle Detail

Here is an opportunity to own the car you dreamed of having for years. My wife and I are downsizing and moving south so the cars have to go. This is a restored 1951 MGTD. The car has been completly restored from the frame up. The engine (#XPAG/TD2/LHX11565) was torn down to the block and rebuilt with all new bearings, valves, springs, pumps etc. The paint, chrome, interior, seats, top, side curtains, rubber, gauges, etc, are all restored or new. This car has very few miles since the restoration, less than 200 miles. Since it has been driven so little it may need some funing and cleaning of the plugs etc. I did have it on the road to town a few times last summer. I need to sell before we move so my starting bid is a very reasonable $10,000, with no reserve. Look at other MGTD listings and you will see that this could be the best buy on ebay. I have had my fun with it and it's time to let someone else enjoy this really neat old car. The new owner must arrange for the pick up and payment must be complete prior to pick up. I will help with loading. Check the pictures and if you have any questions put them on ebay and I will answer them as soon as I can. Thanks for looking. I know you will enjoy this car. I just added a short video I took today of the car in my garage. Cold start with a little choke. Check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co5q5weYWtQ On Jan-24-11 at 14:55:35 PST, seller added the following information: To expand on some questions about the color. British Racing Green was not a color used by BMC in 1951. I painted my TD "Almond Green" which is the BMC color code GN37. I used Ditzler (PPG) #44159. If you are looking for more information about the MG I highly reccomend www.mgcars.org.uk/mgtd/index.html, it's full of information on the TD.On Jan-27-11 at 06:45:32 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked about storage after the auction. I can store the car in a heated area for up to 90 days for free as long as my house isn't sold. After 90 days or if my house sells I will arrange for storage for a fee.
