Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a REAL 1968 Z 28 Camaro. This car is basically a barn find. It has not been registered or inspected since 1976 and has all of its original Z equipment still intact and untouched. It has the factory tic toc 6000 rpm redline tach, factory installed 3/8" fuel line, factory 12 bolt posi rear end with 4 leafs, and factory installed 4 piston front disc brakes. All the Z stuff is on the car and has not been removed or changed. The only thing that I don't have is the 302. I do have a muncie 4 speed tranny that goes with the car I believe it to be a M21. I don't think the tranny is original to the car since it is a 1967 model. I have the title to the car in hand. I WILL NOT give this car away. It is an excellent project and has unlimited potential. Only around 600 documented Z cars are around and if I don't sell it, I will be glad to keep it and build it. You will probably not see another real Z car go on ebay as complete and untouched as this one is. This car has the original bucket seat interior and all the glass is in great shape. The windshield still has the inspection sticker from 1976 on it. All the front and rear window moldings are still intact and in very nice shape. The car has a very small rust hole in the drivers floorboard under the gas pedal and that is it.... The trunk is in very nice shape. The floors are in very nice shape underneath as well. The rear frame rails are in very nice shape. The shock towers are in very nice shape. The rockers are in very nice shape. The front subframe and a arms are in very nice shape. And the cowl is in very nice shape with NO rust in the bottom corners or on the firewall its self. I have a perfect OEM cowl piece that goes with the car that is not pictured. The rear quarters could be used or replaced that would be your call. I would personally replace them if I built the car. The tail pan and the roof are in very nice shape as well. The passenger door is useable and straight but the drivers door has a big dent in it, VERY FIXABLE. I just haven't taken the door panel off and pushed it out. While the car sat for 25 years at some point a tree fell on the passengers side fender and hood and the prior owner took them off and trashed them. I am including, with the sell of the car, the black fender and primered hood that is on the other car if the buyer is interested. The hood is in excellent shape, and the fender has very minor surface rust but is very SOLID with NO rust issues. This car was sold new in Pasedena, TX and has been in East Texas it's whole life. I believe I am the third owner. Please feel free to ask all questions prior to bidding and PLEASE have the funds BEFORE bidding..If interested please bid to win as this car won't be relisted. Thanks and good luck bidding. All the inner and outer wheelhouses are in VERY nice shape with no rust. The trunk I washed out with a waterhose and it is in VERY nice shape with just little surface rust. The floorboards are in VERY nice shape with NO rust except like I said under the drivers gas pedal. The floorboards still have the factory installed sound deadner installed. The rockers are SUPER solid with NO rust. I can't see ANY rust at the base of the windshield or on the dash like they ALL rust out. The original GM AM radio is still in the car as well as an 8 track player mounted under the glovebox. I am not sure if the 8 track player is aftermarket or a dealer installed option. It takes a key for some reason???? Never seen one like it. Also the car has all of the 68 date coded seat belts still installed as well as the shoulder belts which are date coded also. I am not for sure if you can see them in the pics. I found a charm in the floorboard that said CLASS OF 1976. Apparently this was a kid's car. Could you imagine being a high school kid driving a 68 Z around. I hate to tell you but that sounds AWESOME.... On Jan-23-11 at 13:37:59 PST, seller added the following information: I just got done putting the fender and hood on the car. I added a few pictures with these items bolted on. This is how the car will be shipped. Thanks
