Car is currently stored in a Car Capsule Storage system in a heated garage. Pontiac was officialy killed off on October 31 2010!! All this car is going to do is go UP in value. Here are todays NADA values on the car, the 326HO option alone is worth 20% of the value! Original MSRP: $2,761 With options MSRP: $4,007 average retail: $21,450 high retail: $44,590 This car is is way above average with all the documentation and originality! What I have here is a 1967 Firebird 326 H.O. For those of you that dont know, the H.O option in 1967 for the 326 motor consisted of 10.5:1 compression pistons (instead of the stock 9:2), 4 barrel carb and the Safe-T-Track posi rear end with a right side mounted trac bar. This is only 1 of 2228 cars made with the YM block 326 HO motor and an automatic. Cowl tag reads as follow 527 05A ST 67-22637 LOR25893 BODY TR 259Z A-2 PAINT E 2EWGR 3M The drivetrain has never been rebuilt or removed from the car. What makes it even rarer it has factory AC, only about 5-10% of total cars that year had that as an option! I am the 4th owner of this car. I have all the PHS documentation showing it is a matching numbers car with factory power steering, power brakes, A/C, the 326 HO package with chrome external package and HO side stripes. I also have the original owners manual, warranty booklet and protect-o-plate, I have the "broadcast sheet". Even the keys are the originals with the knockouts still attached! I have a copy of the title when it was purchased from the original owner in 1976, a copy of the title when it was purchased from the 2nd owner in 2008. This car has had only one repaint in its lifetime, its a gorgeous paint job, the vinyl roof was removed, a 400 hood was installed and it looks like it was painted last week, I would rate the paint as show quality and a 9 to 9.5 out of a 10! It also has the original style mini spare, inflation bottle and jack! It was unlicensed and stored in a climate controlled garage from 1985-2008 and was only used for parades and misc car shows. In that 23 year period only 1200 miles were put on the car and the car only has 59000 original miles! All the doors, fenders, rockers, quarters, etc are the original sheetmetal, no filler anywhere, the interior is all original, even the carpet has never been replaced and it all looks great!! The undercarriage is unrestored, typical patena but no rot anywhere! This car drives like it is brand new, hardly any rattles, steer with 1 finger, brake with 1 toe. it just floats down the road. The only thing that does not work is the the rear deck speaker, the dash speaker and original AM radio works great! It also has a dealer installed electric trunk release and the dealer installed driver seat seat track extension for extra tall drivers. I just spent $400 on a custom dual exhaust system with welded thrush mufflers and it sounds great! Car was just appraised at $28,000 in April of 2010 by a professional appraiser, all that documentation goes with the car. This car is a little "to nice" for me, I am almost afraid to drive it cause its just so clean and sweet. No disappointment here, all this car will do is increase with value over time. This car is lazer straight and you will look high and low for a car this unmolested and clean, the paint job quality in the jambs and corners is just as nice as the exterior. All the panels line up perfectly, the doors, hood and trunk shut so nice its hard to believe this car is 43 years old! I have put almost 2800 miles on this car since the spring with no issues at all, drive it anywhere at anytime and turn heads the whole way.
