Black over Tan 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible This was my late father's favorite car and his pride & joy. It has been pampered and very well taken care of by my dad. It was stripped to bear metal and painted base coat/clear coat P.P.G. paint three years ago at a cost of $6500.00. (The paint is beautiful!) The convertible top was also replaced at a cost of $2200.00. Currently as best as I know, the car needs nothing, except the wood grain plate on the console which is cracked and chipped. The car is in excellent running condition. Apparently the "Auto Check" flag shows an odometer issue. Upon further inspection of this car, I located a small black sticker ( which reveals the speedometer was certifiably replaced or repaired) on the inside of the drivers door which states the following, "Odometer Notice" Odometer has been repaired or replaced and set to zero on Date 2-4-94, prior to repair or replacement mileage was 1,287, unlawful to remove or alter. The current total mileage is 36,122, so if you add 1,287 miles the total mileage is 37,409 miles. This car comes with many factory upgrades offered in 1990, to include the chrome factory wheels and the special headlights. The original spare and factory wheel have never been on the ground and are still in the trunk. The tires on the car are like brand new with very few miles. The drivers seat also shows a small amount of wear. The car has been in storage for the past several years. The original owners manual is still located in the glove box.
