A friend of mines son was in the process of restoring/hotrodding this SuperBeetle when the engine froze/blew on the way to school-so I took it in trade on a running/reliable car. He had done a lot of work on the car and almost had it ready for paint so it would be a good starting point for someone who wanted to restore or trick out a classic VW. It appears quite solid and doesn't look like it has any rust issues,but I haven't been under it; although rust usually isn't an issue in our part of the world. It has some nice parts on it such as a Hurst quick shifter, procar racing seats,a JVC am/fm CD player with some nice speakers and front & rear nerf bars. I have considered making it nice, but have other projects and at 64 the wife doesn't like me hanging out at the shop till 2am so am giving some the opertunity to score a worthwhile project.
