This handicap accessible van belonged to our family member whom was paralysed and in a wheel chair. He got the van brand new in 1996 and had it professionally outfitted with all the disability features. He was the only owner of the van and it has VERY low mileage. It has been well maintained and is in great condition, visually and mechanically. Van has a raised roof and lowered floor allowing for a full 6 feet of floor to ceiling clearance on the inside, great for anyone that is tall or in a high wheelchair. Two bucket seats in the front and a full size bench seat across the far back with open floor space in between. Has hardware mounted to floor in front and back to secure wheelchair with safety straps and to accomidate a seat belt for the person in the wheelchair. Big and tall side windows and a high windshield allow for handicapped passenger to have a good view of everything. Has double doors on passenger side that swing open fully to allow the Braun hydraulic power lift gate to fold out and lower to the ground. Hydraulic lift has easy to use remote control with buttons for raising/lowering and for folding/unfolding the ramp. Designed for lifting a lot of weight, lift is ideal for anyone larger in size or anyone that has a very heavy wheelchair. Van is very clean, good tires, everything in complete working order. Would be a great van for someone disabled that cannot afford a newer, very expensive van. Paid $50,000+ for van and customization in 1997. Please don't be discouraged by the age of the van as it is in far better condition than most newer model used handicap vans are because it has such few miles and was so well maintained. My family member that owned the van passed away recently after being paralysed in a wheelchair for 15 years and we don't have anyone else in the family requiring a specialized van such as this, so we want to sell it in the hopes that it will give someone else that is disabled as much enjoyment and mobility as it did our family member.
