Vehicle Detail

Welcome to my auction for a pre-owned Porsche 911. I am an enthusiast and have bought and sold Porsche various models from 1955 to Present but I really like the 1989-1998 models. I have sold locally, nationwide, and even to dozens of cars to clients in Denmark, Germany, France, and all over the world. Feel free to ask for references and bid to win! I love hosting real NO RESERVE auctions and I'm counting on you to bring the market value of this car! I can help find transportation for this car to anywhere in the world at very low rates- International buyers welcome! Whatever questions you have, feel free to ask prior to bidding. I will shoot you as straight as I can. EBAY MADE ME CHECK "OTHER" FOR TITLE STATUS BECAUSE THE AUTO CHECK HISTORY SHOWED THAT WHEN THIS CAR WAS BRAND NEW, THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER WAS NOT SATISFIED FOR WHATEVER REASON AND PORSCHE AGREED TO DO A MANUFACTURER BUY BACK. THE ACTUAL TITLE THAT I HAVE IN HAND HAS NOTHING ON IT REGARDING THAT, BUT SINCE IT SHOWS UP IN AUTO CHECK'S VEHICLE HISTORY, IT IS EBAY'S POLICY TO LIST IT THIS WAY. THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN 98K MILES SINCE NEW AND HAS HAD NO ISSUES. TO MAKE IT VERY CLEAR YOU MUST BE READY TO BUY IN ORDER TO BID- THIS IS A REAL AUCTION SELLING TO THE HIGH BIDDER. DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDERS I ADHERE TO A STRICT POLICY OF 48 HOURS FOR DEPOSITS OR YOUR CAR MAY BE SOLD TO THE NEXT HIGH BIDDER AND A NON PAYING STRIKE AND NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WILL BE LEFT. DON'T BID IF YOU CAN'T MEET MY TERMS!!! If you have little to no feedback I reserve the right to cancel your bid so please email when bidding if you have less than 3 feedback score. AS A BONUS, IF YOU CAN PAY THE FULL AMOUNT BY WIRE TRANSFER WITHIN WITHIN 48 HOURS I WILL GIVE YOU $150 OFF This car is offered at a BUY IT NOW PRICE with professional dent removal, wet sanding, and touch up paint to remove the cosmetic imperfections like scratches, dings, scuffs, etc., and FULL detail for $17,500. Otherwise the car will sell to the high bidder in AS IS condition as it has NO RESERVE. I will entertain other "as is" offers during the auction- send me a message, however I will not end the auction within the final 12 hours per ebay terms. This will sell to the high bidder or strongest offer within the next 10 days- don't miss your chance! This classic 911 has a lot of life left in it and is a super great buy at a NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This is another solid Porsche 911 Carrera 2 from the 964 series. It has very low miles for a 1990 and features a rare exterior color of atlas gray. The motor still pulls very strong and the transmission shifts very smoothly. I think this car's best features are the low miles and good solid drivetrain, chassis, and motor. In my recent 45 mile drive in this car, I was on the freeway at 80 MPH and could let go of the steering wheel and had no drift or pull. It is hard to find 964's with less than 100K miles on them for under $20,000 these days so jump on this one and enjoy the way she will treat you! I want all buyers to know as much as they can, both the good and bad. Most dealers would simply say that this car is in excellent condition for a 1990, I will provide as much detail as I can. Overall it seems like a good value car with very little issues. These 911's are always rated in the top sports cars you can get for around $20,000. As for the body, the car looks good overall but is not perfect. There are a few small dings here and there- one that stands out right near the driver's side front door and fender. In the right light you will find some flaws as with most all used cars- all issues can be addressed with a good paintless dent removal technician. Also there are a few rock chips, most notably on the hood, and a few scratches. The bumpers have some scuffs as well. NO RUST!! I have an excellent vendor that can address all of these small cosmetic issues for very little money- ask me if you want it done so you don't have to pay retail for it- you could get this car to showroom cosmetic condition with some restoration. The wheels look really good and the tires were just put on this car under 100 miles ago. The spoiler has the common hairline crack just over the left corner of the air vent grille near the rear window. The rear wiper crossmember looks to have been broken and repaired- I'd probably replace it. The targa top has a tear in it- I drive topless whenever I drive a Targa, so not an issue for me. Inside the car the carpets look OK and have no major stains or tears. NON SMOKER. The leather shows wear in the front seats, the rear seats look very good. The dash has no cracks. The radio looks like an OEM CD player- needs the code reset because I just put in a new battery and it reset. The passenger door pocket is included with the car but when I got the car the door panels were taken off because the previous owner was trying to fix the window regulators. I got the drivers side done and working perfectly just now- the passenger's side motor is driving but the glass will not track correctly right now. Glass is good, spoiler actuator works, drivers side power seat works- passenger doens't right now and I haven't gotten into that one yet. The ventilation system is not turning on. I had it checked out and was told the blower motors are bad- I have seen them on ebay for $180-$500- it's a TARGA so I haven't worried about it. The lach for the front luggage compartment had a plastic keeper peice break off so I have been using pliers to pull the cable and open the hood. Mechanically the car starts and runs strong--still pulls with good power and the drive is striaght. The car recently had a little gasket work done to slow leaks but as is common with any classic Porsche, there is a small amount of oil that will drip out from the motor- maybe one or two spots after a good drive, but really this car is quite dry compared to most 964's- you learn to use a small drip pad in the garage when you own a classic 911. Even mechanics don't see much benefit in rebuilding these motors because eventually they will start to drip a little here and there regardless. I have never seen a perfectly dry one, and I've had LOTS of them. Also this car has a common issue with the airbag light being on- I haven't dug into that either but judging by the fact that it does not show accident history on Autocheck or Carfax I have assumed that it is the typical sensor that goes out that needs replacing. Again, noted issues in the RED PRINT at the beginning of the listing will all be taken care of at the buy it now price if you want a hassle free purchase. If you don't mind doing a little work yourself, you can save a little money by taking the car as is and having a nice little project or two. OVERALL THIS IS A NICE LITTLE LOW MILEAGE CALIFORNIA 911 THAT IS AN HONEST 964 LOOK AT THE PICS,AND BID TO WIN! Please come see the car in person or ask if you have any questions prior to bidding as all sales are final. The only issues I have ever had is from buyers who never ask questions, don't come to pick up their car in person, and have unrealistic expectations for a car they are buying sight unseen. I have always delivered cars with clean, marketable titles and will do my best to answer any questions you have, but ultimately it's your responsibility to satisfy your questions prior to bidding either personally or by your appointed agent. Make a great buy on this NO reserve auction! Although I am confident the new owner will be extremely pleased with this car based on this description, it us a used car and as with all used cars there will be wear and tear issues. I do the best I can to take pictures and describe all cars to the best of my ability. Please satisfy all your curiosity about this car PRIOR to bidding. Know that the description is according to my standards and experience in buying and selling cars, but is strictly my opinion. If you want the car described to your standards, which may differ from mine, please come see the car or designate someone to evaluate it for you BEFORE bidding. By placing a bid you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the car's condition and enter into a legally binding agreement to purchase the car. I have done mybest to sell cars with 100% positive feedback and can hope that you as a buyer will take your bidding responsibility seriously. If you cannot come pick up the car and want to arrange shipping, I am not responsible for the car once it leaves my possession, it will be your responsibility from the time it leaves . All sales are final at that point, no returns or reimbursements. Terms of Sale Overview I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.
