Vehicle Detail
1966 Chevelle 300 4-door. The old car is in pretty good shape for its age. As a matter of fact, a local body shop man told me if it was a 2-door car he would make me an offer I could not refuse. The old car has been garage kept all its life. It has 59424 original miles. It belonged to my grandmother and then my uncle. I got it from my uncle and I am the third owner of the car. The milage is original and not rolled over. My grandmother lived in Maryville TN and drove the car to a bus station and rode the bus to Knoxville to go to work. This is the reason for the low milage. I hate to sell the car but I need a vehicle that is more up to date for a 150 mile commute so it has got to go. When I first got the car from my uncle it had a bunch of flat lifters so I put new lifters in it and also a new electronic ignition system. I also put in new seat covers, carpet and new front glass. The floor board did have a hole in the front passenger area so I patched that with some metal and rivets and sealed the bottom of the pan. The old dash has a split down the middle. The headliner is in good shape up front but has a small split in the back but has been held in place so it won't come out with the windows down at highway speeds. The trunk is in excellent condition as is the rest of the sheet metal on the car. It does have a high school paint job on it so the paint is not the best. The old radio does not work. The windshield washer does not work. The car is a base model 300 with the 194 CI six. It has 120 screaming horse power and a glide. The brakes were redone. And the old car has new tires and exhaust. The car does not have any power accessories, just manual brakes and steering. It has no A/C but it has a good heater. Also, the original owners guide is in the glove box. The old car is not perfect by any means but it is in pretty good shape. I could drive the car to California and back with no issues as long as it was fed good gas. I am starting the bidding at what I feel is a very fair price. The old car would make someone like a racer and great puller if it was pumped up with a big block or a stout small block. It has a lot of potential as a sleeper or a hollywood movie piece. The potential is there for a nice ride if you wanted to invest in it or you could just drive it the way it is. I have tried to be as honest as I can but If you have any questions I will try my best to answer them. Happy bidding.
