Here for auction we have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition. This jeep is in need of both mechanical work and body work. The jeep appears to have a cracked head, It will run but smokes and needs some work.It has the 4.0l 6 cylinder and has no leaks underneath, It has a red top optima battery and an aftermarket intake. The transsmission is a 5 speed and seems to shift fine and the clutch grabs as it should. The 4wd engages and appears to be in working order. The brakes feel good and the emergency brake is in working order. The wheels are aftermarket american racing rims with 33" tires. The rims are in nice condition but the jeep could use a new set of tires, id say about a 1/4 of tread left. It has a newer soft top in good condition with the soft top doors, the top is black and the doors are tan. Also it has aftermarket large fender flares which are in decent shape - one has a couple dents. The front drivers side fender is banged up and has a hole in it. It also has some damage to the front and rear bumpers as well. The jeep appears to of had some body work done to one of the rear quarters it has some bondo and spray paint. Overall the body is in okay conditon but has some damage and spraypaint on it, it is missing a front marker light on the damged fender. The frame and undercarriage looks good, it seems to have been undercoated once before. As for the interior it has no carpet, the radio and shift boot were removed along with the rear seat brackets (there is a rear seat in it). Overall the seats are in good condition with the exception of a small hole on the passenger side, it could use a good cleaning as well. There is an aftermarket horn installed and there is an alarm installed - we are not sure of how it works or how to disengage it so we have been tripping the starter to get it running. Overall the jeep shows that it has been used for off roading and is in need of some work. We are not mechanics and have not been able to give this vechile a full road test due to the cracked head, when we move it around our lot the alingment seems good and the suspension feels fine. Where the rear quarter was repaired it has bondo on the inside and was undercaoted over. On Jan-07-11 at 14:50:45 PST, seller added the following information: I have just came accross some service records for the jeep - 5 pages full of recent work done at the dealer. The work includes : 1). Full exhuast repair - manifold gasket / muffler clamps $1322.64 2.) 3rd brake light assembly $694.10 3.) Replaced transmission $1464.74 4.) Rear end $2090.11 5.) Replace all brakes 363.15 All of these parts were replaced between 9/20/09 and 10/20/09. There is 5 pages full of work done totalling over 6k dollars. I cannot say for sure if all the parts on these invoices have been replaced because i,m not a mechanic but i do have the paperwork.
