I have a 1986 Chevy M1008 military surplus four wheel drive truck for sale. It has 49708 miles on it and is a diesel engine. The truck runs and drives great and has no known mechanical problems. The body is in good condition there are no major defects, dents or rust as you can see in the pictures. It is however 25 years old so it is not perfect. The interior is in good shape overall. The dashboard has some serious cracks and the seat is starting to crack on the driverside where you get in and out. I took pictures of all of this. The truck currently has a clear Illinois title. I put all four new Uniroyal 285/75r16 tires on it last year and they have less than 2000 miles on them. It has the 6.2 diesel with a TH400 automatic transmission. I had the starter rebuilt in November of last year. There is a glow plug bypass switch in the dash so you can manually control the glow plugs for easier starts when its cold. I also installed a 24volt battery maintainer directly to the batteries so you can plug it in if its going to sit for extended periods of time. It still has the 24 volt starting system. The military blackout switches all still work also. There are two Napa legend batteries that are two years old in the truck. It also has an oil pan heater on the engine so you can warm up the oil on cold days before you start the engine. I have a spare windshield that goes with the truck that is near perfect if you ever need a spare or if you want to sell it. The toolbox stays with the truck.
