Vehicle Detail
This listing is for my 1985 Toyota Supra. This is a very nice daily driver example of a classic Supra. **NO RESERVE AUCTION, THIS WILL SELL AT THE END OF THE AUCTION** YOU MUST HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK TO BID ON THIS CAR IF YOU DON'T CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. The car has been well maintained mechanically, and while it is not perfect, it is one of the nicer 85' Supras on the road. (Available to purchase separately) The car has an extremely powerful sound system, Navigation, DVD, Ipod hook up. A/C and Heat both work, as do the power windows power steering and everything else except the cruise control and sunroof. The car is PA inspected until April. This car is in very good shape for a 25 year old car. New parts in the last 1-2 years.Blue/Silver metallic paint and body work (minor rust around wheel wells repaired at that time. no other rust) $4200 Aftermarket Body kit and hood scoop put on at that time. (not a perfect fit, but nice see pictures) $800 + installation2.5" Exhaust from the catalytic converter to the tail pipe. Flowmaster style muffler (Loud outside, but not bad inside the car) - $300 +New Clutch less than 5000 miles ago $400New timing belt, plugs, wires, cap and rotor less than 10,000 miles $300Battery $50Sound System (will be removed from the car unless the buyer wants to purchase the sound system at the end of the auction) **email me if you are interested in any of the sound system components** Aftermarket (4) 5 1/4" Door speakers (front and rear) Tweeters Separate amp for the speakers MMATS Juggernaut Subwoofer 15" competition Sub (Sub and amp cost over $2000) MMATS Amplifier (not sure exact wattage, but I can look. Very powerful) This amp powers the sub only Pioneer Touchscreen Navigation/DVD built in 40gb harddrive, Ipod cable (cost over $1600) Spare tire was removed to fit subwoofer and sound system. But I still have the spare. This supra Is PA inspected and can be driven anywhere. It has been a very reliable and fun car and shouldn't need anything to be driven everyday as is. All engine maintenance has been done, and all of the wear items have been replaced recently clutch, exhaust, battery, brakes etc. There are a few things it could use to be better. What it still needs:Interior could use some work. Not terrible, just not perfect. heat and A/C control act weird. They both always work, the hot/cold control just need service. The heater vents are cracked, but functional. cruise control doesn't work. Windows work but make a creaking sound. Some trim pieces inside are cracked and loose. Not terrible, but I am trying to be honest.Exterior trim is not perfect and could be removed and restored, some pieces would need replaced to be perfect. Sunroof doesn't open (motor works, but the track must be damaged because it opens then binds)front body kit is cracked (see pictures) I hit a Possum about 2 months ago. Other Questions: Paint Quality?Professional Quality Paint. Daily driver, not garaged but not driven in snow. Paint is in very nice shape some small chips and scratches but no dents. Not perfect, but a very nice paint job.Overall this is a very nice Supra, and it is hard to find one in this nice of condition. It has been a very nice driver for me. It may not appeal to the "all original crowd" but it will make a great "custom" driver. Original Owner?I am not the original owner, and I have no clue who was, but I do have a clear title for the car. Carfax? No carfax, but I see no evidence of it being in an accident, and have no reason to doubt this is the actual mileage Tires?I'd say 50-60% of tread left. Why am I selling it?I have a 1972 Dodge Dart (my first car) that needs some work. The money from the Supra will be going to the Dart. Warranty? Its 26 years old so No Warranty, but I have tried to describe the car best as possible, and I plan to keep 100% positive feedback after this sale. Engine?Well maintained, and doesn't seem to burn oil. Runs strong and smooth, doesn't seem to have any issues. It did have an oil leak at the cam seal, and the seal was just replaced. All regular service items have been replaced recently, and should be ready to go for a while. Please don't bid if you are not confident you want the car, or if you have questions about the condition of the car. There may be other minor issues that I forgot to list, but I tried to list everything I could think of. Car is driven daily, so mileage will be slightly higher, and it may not be perfectly clean when you come to see it. If you have any other questions ASK BEFORE BIDDING. The car can be seen any time it is located in Waynesboro, PA 17268. Email me for the address and you can come see it. Thanks for looking, RyanOn Jan-07-11 at 06:45:59 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked a few questions, and I thought I'd put the answers on here: Keys: The key works in all doors, hatch and ignition....but I only have one. Clutch: Brand new and works great. No noise when pushed in or released. Works exactly like it should. Safety Items: All lights, turn signals, marker lights etc. work like they should. Brakes: Work smoothly doesn't pull left or right. Handling: Car tracks straight, and handles well for an 80's sports car. No bad vibrations, or shakes Tires: Older series tires with about 50% tread left. Smooth except for a very small vibration from 70mph to about 73mph. Could balance them but its not bad at all. Water leaks: Doesn't seem to leak water from the sunroof or hatch, but remember the sunroof track is damaged, and it is difficult to close properly for it to seal. Don't open it until you are ready to fix it. think the seals on this car are original, they seal ok, but anytime rubber get 25 years old you have to plan on replacing it sometime in the near future. Engine: Starts the first time every time. Has no cold starting issues. Runs smoothly cold or hot. Has no overheating issues. Doesn't seem to burn oil. Had an oil leak that was just repaired by replacing the cam seal. May have the tiniest drip from around the pan, Like 1 drip overnight. Sound System: I do not have the original radio from the car to put back in. Sorry. Overall Condition: In my opinion the paint would be an easy 8 out of 10. If the body kit fit better, and the paint chips touched up it would be almost perfect. Interior: probably a 6 out of 10. Very presentable for a daily driver, just needs plastic pieces (vents, controls etc) repaired. I have ran it this way for 2 years and it is not bad at all. Drivetrain: 8 out of 10. If it had lower miles I would say even higher. It really runs great, handles great, and Has a ton of new parts. exhaust, timing belt, water pump, etc. (see listing above. I hope this helps answer most of your questions. If you have any other questions or want to come see it let me know. I don't want to have to re-list this so do not bid unless you are 100% sure you want the car. Thanks, Ryan
