Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1995 Dodge Cummings Diesel Ram 3500 Dump Truck (READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY) I bought this truck on 7/6/09 to set out on building the ultimate dump truck. I bought the truck off of a farm in Southern Ohio. It originally had a flat bed on it. The day I bought it I drove it directly to Pro-Formance Diesel Injection out of Clearfield, PA, which is one of the top diesel mechanics in the state. He went over the entire truck engine, changed all filters, set the timing, set the valves, set the pump and changed the oil with Amzoil. I have only put 40 miles on this truck since I bought it. It went from the diesel shop straight to the tire shop. The front tires are Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor radials. The rear tires are Goodyear Wrangler Authority radials. All top of the line tires front and back, nearly $1500 worth of rubber. From there it went to my brother's garage, who is a PA certified mechanic. The work that was done to this truck was not because it needed it, it was because I wanted the truck to be like brand new when it was done. He pulled all the wheels and tires off and proceeded on in the front replacing pretty much basically everything from the two very expensive wheel bearing assemblies to upper and lower balljoints to brand new rotors, calipers and brake pads. As he worked to the rear of the truck, we replaced all the universals on the drive shaft. As the same for the rear, we installed all brand new wheel bearings, rotors, calipers and brake pads and changed the rear end fluid. Any mechanically moving part on this truck was replaced with brand new. From there it went to my metal fabricator, who custom built the dump bed for me. As you know Dodge's have a raised up frame in the back, first he built and constructed a regular sub-frame for the dump body to sit on. The dump body was built with tapers on the inside, these are not welded in tapers. When he bent the floor for the dump bed, the tapered angles were bent right into the floor. The bed also has a rack system and a coal chute and several places to tie down materials. This bed was $4,000. Underneath the dump bed is a Harsh Rigid Lift. I purchased this hoist at J&J Truck Bodies, out of Somerset, PA. It is their top of the line hoist that they put on all of their dual wheel dump trucks. It is a $2,700 hoist and it is a 7.5 ton hoist, because I wanted to make sure it would dump anything you wanted to put on it. Going with the truck will also be a set of Minimizer Plastic Fenders, for over the rear wheels. These are a very flexible and durable rear fender to keep all of the debris from splattering up under the bed. These fenders were $500 and they are not mounted on the truck yet. Remember this truck is a 1995, it has some nicks and scratches and small dents typically seen on a 16 year old truck. The interior of the truck is missing the two plastic covers that go over the steering wheel and passenger side door post plastic cover. The seat has two rips where people have gotten in and out. The heater switch knobs are missing. Windshield is cracked. These are things that I just haven't had the time to get to. I am selling the truck because I just got a new job working away from home and I will no longer need it. Someone is going to end up with a hellava good dump truck here. For the past two months I have been looking at dump trucks on ebay. Anything that's decent is selling anywhere from $5,000 to $7,000. Then once you buy it, then you gotta fix it all up. For you bidders that think you're going to get this truck for the $5,000 area, don't even bid. I will not trade the truck for a car, snowmobile, motorcycle or anything like that, so please don't ask me to. I am going to set the reserve low in hopes that some good honest ebayers who are looking for a great dump truck will bid it up to the price that I'm looking for. You will not be disappointed with this truck. Remember the 12 valve cummings engine with only 155,000 miles is probably worth $5,000 alone. Note: I bought this particular truck because it is absolutely rust free, no rust nowhere. If you need more pics call me and I will email them. I will be available for the next 7 days if you have any questions or if you would like to see the truck or drive the truck please call me at 814-787-4099. I check my messages frequently. Happy Bidding!
