1989 Knight Rider Replica Originally an Pontiac Firebird formula converted to too earlier (82-84) Trans Am. This included new spoiler, knight rider nose both were painted and installed by professional body shop. Exterior: Clean with no rust. Small blemish on rear quarter panel (see picture) nothing I was ever concerned with or attracted attention at car shows. T-tops are in good shape. They may leak, I’ve always hand washed the car. Knight Rider front end with three operational fog lights on each side (far outside serves as blinker and works fine). Rear taillights have been replaced with older –flat style and one-piece tint in installed. Also new rear bumper replaced for older style –professionally painted and installed. Windows have all been professionally tinted (approximately 20% shade). New tires and Knight Rider bowling hubcaps as well. Tires have less then 50 miles on them. Lots of garage time. Interior: Complete interior overhaul. Original color was grey. All new foam, carpet and trim. All new door panels, handles, and trim. New headliner and board and of course PMD seats which have been professionally refurbished and upholstered. Of course all interior Knight Rider components. All work (at the minimum light up while others serve as legitimate switches for lights and whatnot). The dash is from Mark’s Custom Kits and the electronics are from Jupiter Electronics. Two flat screen LCD TV’s currently feed from DVD players in the hatch. I’ve always used the DVDs I’ve received from forums which play miscellaneous footage from Knight Rider. Everything works with no complaints. From time to time I’ve noticed the speedometer will not function. Regardless I would prefer to show perspective buyers how everything is hooked up. In addition the Knight Rider steering wheel is a bit off and should get an alignment but it never bothered me. Both TVs are connected to players on the truck with I have DVDs of footage from the show. Some minor details may have been overlooked. If so, it is not my intention. Again, I encourage perspective buyers to see it first. Vehicle as 100,000 original miles on it and runs fine. Obviously the original dash/odometer has been removed for the Knight Rider one but I still have the original. In addition I have the new digital odometer but it is not installed. Garage stored and hardly driven. Just installed new high performance yellow top battery. Most importantly—I am not responsible for licensing or inspecting in your given state.
