Vehicle Detail
vin:jh2sc45352m200448 miles;13913 Here we have a 2002 SP2 RC 51 V TWIN the bike that beat ducati at their own game in super GP!!! It has a FULL AKROPOVICH TITANIUM EXHAUST SYSTEM, this means headers as well!($2K), Power commander 3, flapper valve mod, custom 3m plastic gaurd on the headlights, top of the tank, sides of the tank, front fender, and under the rear plastics to protect from scratches, you can't even see the protective covering unless it is pointed out.The bike has michelin pilot sport 2 CT's on it with 1/2 tread left the front tire is 120/70-ZR17 rear is now 190/55-ZR17 I changed the rear tire height from 50-55 and WOW what a difference it made. So much easier to lean the bike over and overall response went up. these tires are amazing and have 3 compounds on the front and rear. they have a hard center section medium side section and a very soft edge. They are amazing tires!!! I have a custom cover for the bike, brake lock with two keys as well as a gas tank bra. After looking at Tons of undertails for the bike I finally found one of the best undertails for it and installed it myself it also uses the stock key lock as well and I incorporated the liscence plate in a spot that is perfect.. I am a avid mechanic I use to work on motorcycles and build them from scratch. So the bike has been meticuously maintained and has NO SCRATCHES on the bike AT ALL. IT LOOKS BRAND NEW. Everyone who sees this bike thinks it IS brand new and when they see it has 13k of miles they are astounded. I have changed the oil every 3k with castrol syntec and with OEM honda filters. ONLY THE BEST! At 9k I changed the oil and recharged the nitrogen in the front and rear shocks with Racetech medium weight oil. so the shocks have new nitrogen & oil and only have 2k on them. Made a noticeable difference!!! I have the stock headers and muffler for this bike and they are MINT as well. Performance wise this bike is just amazing, as long as you set the suspension up for your weight it will go where you want it to and stays there even in deep turns and when bumps come up. it is one of the most surefooted bikes I have ever ridden. Ive ridden tons of bikes I use to test ride motorcycles and this bike has always been my favorite check out the article on it here http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/roadtests/2002_honda_rc51_vtr1000/index.html. here are the specs for the 2002 sp2 Engine and transmission Displacement: 999.00 ccm (60.96 cubic inches) Engine type: V2 Stroke: 4 Compression: 10.8:1 Bore x stroke: 100.0 x 63.6 mm (3.9 x 2.5 inches) Fuel system: Injection.
