Vehicle Detail
Very restorable 1978 Chevrolet Nova Custom with a running 305 V-8 engine. Car ran and drove when parked many months ago but now has the fuel line disconnected to prevent any contaminants from getting sucked up into the engine. Car fired right up when fuel was poured into the top of the carb late last summer. Genuine one-owner car intended to be restored but owner has now closed his body shop and is cleaning house. The sub frame is good, the interior is very good, rockers are good, lower rear quarter on one side is shot due to water getting in the trunk drop down area. Other side is decent. Some additonal spots of rust on the dog legs. Basically, a very nice complete restorable car. Everything is there. Please send me your email if interested and I will send a file of photos for your inspection. On Dec-29-10 at 04:29:07 PST, seller added the following information: RE-LISTED DUE TO WINNING BIDDER HAVING TRANSMISSION FAILURE WITH HIS TRUCK THE SAME TIME HE WON THE AUCTION AND COULDN'T AFFORD BOTH. (QUOTE) So, here it is again. Starting over! On Dec-30-10 at 02:34:30 PST, seller added the following information: The car was personally examined today by me and I wanted to clarify some details. The shop manager has told me the car was driven in and parked where it sits about 5 years ago. When the listing pictures were taken this summer, the engine was fired by feeding gas through the top of the carb and ran well. Has not been started since and has no battery. The trunk flat surface left side to center is rusted out. The drop down areas appear ok, surprisingly. The doors, hood and trunk lids all open but are stiff and dry. Interior is complete and dry. Floors seem solid. The fuel line is reconnected but the car should be considered non-running and would need to be towed. I took the gas cap off and the fuel smells good yet but would be questionable after this length of sitting time. The shop manager took another 80 or so pictures which can be emailed to help answer any other questions you might have.
