Vehicle Detail
This is nice little 124 Spider, originally a California Car. We are the third owner, as my father in law bought the car new, sold it, then about 15 years later bought it back from the people he sold it to, then we inherited the car after his passing. The car is solid and 100% complete, with the original engine( never rebuilt), it has 126,156 actual miles on it. It has a small amount of rust in the rocker panels, and behind the the rear bumper in the trunk area. It has always been kept covered in a garage. The convertible top is bad, and needs replacing. All the top Mechanism is in place and works fine, just the canvas top is bad. The Leather interior is original and excellent shape, the floor pans are rust free and solid. This car has the rarer 1600cc twin cam engine it, and ran perfect when stored. The motor is free and turn over just fine though. The car has not been ran or driven in 4 years now. We do not have the original wheels, the wheels on it are an after market wheel installed by father in law. The car needs a good home with a Fiat enthusiast who will and can give it the TLC it deserves. This car is used and sold as is no warranty is expressed or implied. The car will need to be trailored to its new home, any shipping or third party shipping will be at the buyers expense. I accept Pay Pal for payment, and will need a $500 deposit with in 24 hours of completion of auction. Payment must be Pay Pal or Cash ONLY. On Dec-24-10 at 07:32:28 PST, seller added the following information:It was pointed out to me that the car is missing the original air cleaner, and a few trim items on the interior. I have removed or altered nothing during my ownership. I am not trying mislead anyone here, I never stated that the car is 100% original. I do know this a 100% complete car, all the major components are original and in great shape. There may be some minor parts and pieces that are not original or missing, I know the air cleaner is one of them, others I am not so sure about. I am not a Fiat expert, but am hoping the car will find a new home with someone who is. That being said I am not just some idiot that owns a fiat either. I worked in the automobile restoration business for over 15 years, still work in the automobile industry today, and I know for a fact this car can be restored to pristine for 2/3 less labor, and a lot less major parts purchasing than most cars in need of restoration. Any further questions please message me, I will answer them as honestly as I know how. Good Luck With The Auction.
