Up for auction is my 1973 Karmann Ghia. This thing has lots of issues. Bondo, rear ended from what it looks like. It is Spray Painted GOLD with a clear coat over it is what it looks like. It still ran for me until recently I through a rod. I haven't confirmed this tho. I need to pull off the Valve Cover to make sure. The rod could have slipped out of the rocker arm or it could have snapped. It most likely snapped because they are stock aluminum rods. From what I am told it is a 1914cc dual port motor. When I replaced 2 broken rods previously I noticed aftermarket rocker arms as well. I had no problem hitting 100 mph in it. The brakes need to be replaced and the shocks as well. This is either a fixer-upper or a parts car. The engine might be worth more than the car itself. It has some decent rims and I believe Michelin tires all around. I am throwing in a new top liner that I never installed as well as a re-wiring kit because it is a rats nest under the hood.
