Vehicle Detail

This is a 1959 100-6 BN6 2 seater. These are rare, out of 4150 BN6 models made only 285 were made in 1959. There were 8482 BN4 100-6 4 seat models made. This is a standard model which had disc wheels, non-ajustable steering wheel and no overdrive. It does have a heater which was a option. The non-overdrive model used a 3:90 gear ratio in the rear end and the overdrive model used a 4:11.The original color appears to be Old English White. It is a very solid car with a very straight frame with no rust in the frame. There is a dent in the left rear outrigger and the typical floor jack dent in the front crossmember. All the floors are rust free and original. There is about a 4" hole in the left hand corner of the trunk floor but the rest of the floor is rust free. The rockers were rusty and were removed by the previous owner but the inner sills are solid. The front shroud has some old poorly fixed damage in the LH headlight area but other wise is a very nice front shroud with only a few small dents and is still bolted to the frame without any tears. The rear shroud is excellant with 1 fist sized dent below the licence frame area. The LF fender is rust free but has some old damage in the headlight area but not very bad. The RF fender is great in the front but will need some rust repair at the bottom of the rear. Both rear fenders will need the typical dog leg repair and the RR fender also has a line of slide hammer holes where a dent was pulled out. Both doors are straight but will need some repair at the bottom due to rust pinholes and the RH door also has a hole about a inch across. Both doors and rear fenders were acid stripped and were starting to get surface rust so I put a coat of silver base coat paint on them. The hood is in great shape. The trunk lid is rust free but has been dented in at the handle area and also has a dent on the LH lower side and there`s 4 holes drilled for a luggage rack. The car has been stored in a garage for the last 25 years and was partially dismantled. The only body parts that weren`t taken off were both shrouds and the LF fender. the engine and transmission were also removed and the interior was stripped. I put the engine and transmission back in but with only enough bolts for transport. The same goes with the body panels, only a few bolts per panel.I did not try to adjust the fenders to get good door gaps but there`s plenty of room for adjustment. The dash is nice and the guages have nice faces and chrome bezels. The rare hard to find horn/turnsignal asssembly is in good condition. The steering wheel only has a few small cracks and would be easy to restore with epoxy putty. There are 5 wheels with the car and as far as I know most everything is with the car but I make no guarantees that every nut and bolt and small parts are there. I was told that the motor was rebuilt but I have no paper work to prove it. It does turn over but no attempt was made to try and start it.It is a 26D series motor which is correct for a 1959 100-6. There is also a new tonneau cover, a new Amco top, some nice used seat covers in black with white piping, a pair of new seat back foams. The original top frame with the wood bow and aluminum retaing rail is with the car but the top latches are missing but they are available new. There are no brakes with the car and I will try to get the emergency brake to lwork so you have some braking when loading on a trailer This car has a clear Oregon title and is sold AS IS with no implied warranty. The speedo shows 28,411 so I`m assuming it`s 128,411
