Vehicle Detail

ATTENTION BIDDERS: TWICE IN A ROW SOME IDIOT HAS USED THE "BUY IT NOW" TO RUIN THE AUCTION. THEN THEY WANT ME TO SHIP IT TO NIGERIA AND HAVE ME PREPAY THE SHIPPING COSTS TO THEIR "AGENT" WHO WILL PICKUP THE VEHICLE. YEAH, RIGHT. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE MORONS OUT THERE. ATTENTION "NIGERIAN" SCAMMERS: GET A JOB. We have owned this truck since Feb. 1996. Used to use it as a portable dumpster. Put a lot of work into it and it was a good driver and always started easy. Haven't used it in about 5 years. Still starts and idles still now. May need a diaphragm in the carb as it kept stalling out when I moved it the other day. Dump body still works good. Has good tail gate on the dump body. It may need a ring or pinion gear. The last time I drove it something started randomly slamming in the rear differential. However, it may be just the 2-speed acting up, which never worked since we had it. It wouldn't shift between high and low on the axle. We opened up the differential and there was a block of wood jammed in there to hold the 2-speed in either high or low; I don't recall which now. So we put it back together and we just drove it in whatever the rear differential was in; block of wood and all. Brake line must of rotted in the last 5 years since there were no brakes when I moved it. It would make a good farm truck, portable dumpster, firewood hauler, or even over the road again with a little attention. GVW is 17,000 pounds. I believe the motor is a 390(?) or 292(?)CID, 2bbl, 160HP @ 3800RPM. I'm guessing that the mileage is about 155,000 as the speedometer no longer works.. We bought it with 152,847; didn't go too far. Have a file showing what parts and labor that we put into it since we bought it. The front bench seat is an original out of a late 60's Ford Mustang with one tear in it. Not sure if I'm going to let that go with the truck or not. I'd be glad to give any more info by e-mail or phone if you have any questions.
