This is the ultimate off-road recreational vehicle of all times. I know that I mentioned Sportsmobile in the title, and now that I have your attention.... I have to admit that this van was not actually built by Sportsmobile, hence the very reasonable price. It was built by a master mechanic and craftsman who's been restoring and fabricating different versions of vans and campers for years as a personal hobby. I have been doing business with this fellow for years, and was more than happy to take this van in on trade when he was ready to buy a different style vehicle from me, and move on to a different path in life. So now this great beast is available for the next happy camper to enjoy. This van started out as a E-250 cargo van with a Advanced Four wheel drive of Salt Lake City conversion. From there it was totally insulated and soundproofed and side windows were installed. A Sportsmobile 24 inch bubble top was added to give it more than six feet of head room and then hundreds of hours were spent building out the fantastic interior. I can't say enough about how sweet the interior looks. The pictures just don't do it justice...The rear bench seat folds into a comfortable bed and there is storage space galore along with a mini microwave. The van is wired for 110 volt with an exterior plug with breakers. Along with the 80 watt solar panel with controller and additional deep cycle house battery. The exterior is the original white paint and does show some imperfections which you hardly even notice. What you do notice are the monster heavy duty, hand built custom bumpers, with the Hella 700 driving lights. All this rolling on 285/75X16 Hankook Mud Terrain tires mounted on black alloy wheels. Mechanically this van is in great condition!!! The Automatic transmission was just rebuilt and still has a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. The motor was rebuilt 56,000 miles ago as well but there is no paperwork from the previous owner. It was just serviced though, and has new plugs which are good for another 100,000 miles along with new air filter and fresh oil and oil filter. This 5.4 V-8 has plenty of power and runs excellent. The van also has new lock out hubs,tie rod ends and links. The front end is tight and steers straight and smooth. It does make a slight popping sound when your turning hard with out moving or moving slowly which I'm told is common with this 4X4 set up with such large tires. All the electrical is in good working order, and the heat blows hot, the A/C blows ice cold. I could go on and on about this unique and rare van. I guarantee that people will be mighty impressed by the sheer presence of this urban off road combination of the anti hybrid.
