1947 Salsbury restoration project. VIN number is 11199. I bought this as a basket case and I spent many hours and bought many new parts like Tires, tubes, ignition switch, pads for kick starter-brake pedal and gas pedal, wiring harness, muffler, tailpipe, choke and hand throttle cables, spark plug-wire and spark plug cap, 3 motor mounts, drive chain, fuel valve and crankshaft seals. I also have all the new water transfer decals for the body and engine. I put the entire bike back together in order to do before and after pictures for the restoration but my problem is I have too many vehicles and not enough time or space so I have decided to let go of this salsbury to somebody who has the time to do a proper restoration. The only items that are missing are some drive clutch parts like the 2 arms and springs that go under the drive clutch that mounts on the crankshaft and the part that they mount on. The engine will need to be rebuilt as well as this is a restoration project and it does not run at this time. I've done a lot of parts chasing and buying in order to make it a bit easier on the next owner. I have posted 16 pictures so you can get a clear idea of the condition and how nearly complete this scooter is. It comes with a california bill of sale. This is a no reserve auction with buy it now.
