Vehicle Detail
1964 Comet 202 Two door sedan. This was a 6 cyl car and was converted to an 8 cyl at some point in its life. The car has front and rear drum brakes and comes with a new master cyl. The rear axle is a five lug 8" unit out of a Mustang, Maverick or maybe the same year Comet. The engine looks like it is a 80's 5.0 302 CID and has headers; it is connected to a C-4 trans. The drive shaft is connected. It has been converted to an alternator using Ford parts. The car has a very solid & straight body with minimum rust in the quarter panels and surface rust on the trunk. There is also some front floor pan rust but it has had sheet-metal put down The braces and rockers as well as the rear trunk seal lip look good. Car has black interior with a bench seat. I would guess it's not the original seat upholstery but a roll-n-pleat style. This is an old car, and it's not perfect but would be good to build. The car will not have the American Mag wheels as seen in the pictures. It will have an Original set of hubcaps (4) and 14 inch steel wheels. It will have a Bill of Sale from Georgia and will not have a title. The State of Georgia does not require title for vehicles that are as old as this one. Would like a 500.00 pay-pal deposit within 48 hours. If that is not possible then don't bid. On Dec-06-10 at 18:12:04 PST, seller added the following information: The car runs but when I bought the car I had planned to put in a rebuilt 302 (306 CID) engine that I have and new exhaust, sort out the brakes by adding a new master and wheel cyls, etc., and have a cool weekend car. Many changes in my work (10 more hours each week added) and a death in the family (more property & bills to take care of) make the project difficult to complete. It's too nice a car to store outside till I can return to working on it. I don't have to sell the car but I am. I will offer the buyer the new 306 engine at an additional cost if they are interested. Spec's on the 306 engine are - (Zero deck 302 engine, forged flat-top pistons, Crane Fireball II cam, quiet geardrive, Melling HV oil pump, Deep oil pan, '66 289 Heads, Air-gap Intake, etc. This should be a strong engine.)
