If you are looking for a 2nd Generation Firebird Trans Am or Camaro with T-Tops this one is worth checking out! There are a few things that make this car rare. It is the first year Pontiac produced a Turbo V8 engine and it was only produced in '80 and '81. It is also the same year and model Trans Am used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit II This is a numbers matching car with the original turbo V8 engine and automatic transmission in great working condition. The car runs and drives great. All the lights and turn signals work. The heater, speedometer, tachometer, temperature and gas gauges work. Both power windows work and the doors don't sag. All the glass is good with no chips or cracks, it has nice paint and decals. I don't have snowflake wheels for it. It has Panther PCW 15x8 wheels with newer tires on it and it has the original jack and T-top covers in the trunk. The car does have a few problems. The power door locks don't work, but the doors do lock and unlock manually and with the key. The windshield wipers don't work and the Air conditioning compressor is missing. It does have all the Air conditioning mounts, hoses, fittings etc. The head liner is coming off by the dome light and and It could use a new Pontiac emblem in the front nose. Overall, this is a great car with a clear title and is currently licenced and insured. CASHIERS CHECK I will require it to be from a national bank that you have in your area and I also have in my area so I can go into that bank and verify it is good. Of corse CASH in person is best. If you plan to fly in and drive home I would reccomend a tune up and get the wipers fixed on the car first. Don't get me wrong this car runs and drives great, the brakes work good, and it handles awesome, but I don't know how it will do driving 15 hours straight for a day or for a few days (it is mostly original which is good but it is 30 years old). I only take it out for weekend cruises or to the local cruise night. This car always gets lots of attention and "two thumbs up" from people of all ages. MOST PEOPLE ARE REALLY INTRIGUED BY THE TURBO OPTION. The car is sold as is. Get it while you can, No hassle of waiting or bidding.
