Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my pride and joy, my 1994 FD RX-7. This car has been very well taken care. Ever time I drive it, I warm the engine up to operating temperatures before boosting the engine or taking it over 3k rpm's. This car is highly modified. The stock twin turbo system has been upgraded to a single turbo. With a fully tuned fuel management system, full exhaust, and lots of performance parts, this car is ready to go! Parts list:A-Spec 500r turbo kit, Blitz front mount intercooler with custom piping, A-Spec down pipe, high flow catalytic converter, Apexi N1 exhaust, Banzai Racing custom fuel kit (850 primary injectors, 1600 secondary injectors, supra fuel pump, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator), Koyo radiator, Power fc engine management system, ACT extreme duty clutch and SR Motorsports lightweight flywheel, HKS twin power ignition amplifier, yellow top battery relocated to the passenger bin, Banzai Racing differential brace, Banzai Racing 3 bar map sensor, Greddy type s blow off valve and Greddy electronic boost controller with settings at 13 and 17 psi, tuned by Banzai Racing. I'm sure there are multiple upgrades that I'm forgetting to mention. Most parts were purchased from rx7store.net, A-spec, or Banzai Racing, and other than the high flow cat, all were brand new. These parts were bought and put on the car from 76,700 miles to 82,000 miles. The car now has 89,500 miles. When I bought the car it was pretty much bone stock other than some reliability modifications and a fresh rebuild with 2mm seals by Banzai Racing. Here is a link to the rebuild done for the previous owner, http://www.banzai-racing.com/bontrager_12-04.htm. After purchasing the car, I went modification crazy! Everything I bought for the car was the best, no expense spared. All the work done to the car was performed by Banzai Racing, here is my car's build link to their site, http://www.banzai-racing.com/watkins_smp.htm. As you can see, Banzai does very quality work, they are also very well respected by the RX-7 community. I say this because a lot of RX-7's/mechanics out there are unreliable and difficult to trust. Quality work doesn't come cheap though. To have Banzai perform all this work cost a small fortune, but it left me with a car that is extremely reliable. I have no doubt the winning bidder could pick up the car and drive it 1000 miles home if necessary. Rotary engines have a reputation for being unreliable, but a very large portion of that reputation comes from work done by people/mechanics that don't know what they're doing. I think this is the part where I say, "but my loss is your gain," haha. It really is though.. I understand that how much I paid having work done or buying all new parts doesn't increase the value all that much, but it will give you some piece of mind in your decision to bid. Turbo: http://www.a-spectuning.com/html/products/gt500r.htm The other parts can be found at rx7store.net or Banzai-racing.com The car's interior is one of the nicest I've seen. It's mostly stock other than a boost gauge, rx-8 shift knob that can be seen in the Banzai build pics, and the cd player. The plastic on the 94-95 models is textured and looks/lasts better than the 93 model. It has the Bose speaker system. There is some minor wear on the driver's side seat bolster, a very common problem on these cars. The seats are black leather, and the interior is black on black. The exterior was repainted factory red in 2006. This model has a sunroof. At the same time I had the car painted, I also bought a set of 18 inch AZA wheels (8.5 front, 9.5 back), and put a C-West style body kit on the car. The front and rear bumpers should be replaced because the fiberglass is cracked. The reason I haven't replaced them is because exterior modifications are really a taste thing. The front bumper replacement I put on the car may not be what potential buyers would like. I have a brand new 99spec front bumper, stock rear bumper, and Re-Extreme scoot hood that I was going to put on the car if I kept it, but since I have decided to sell it, those parts will not be going on the car. If the bidder likes those parts, I would sell them with the car for a very good price. fyi-the 99spec front is from the 99+ japanese models and has a liscense plate holder on the front and is the most sought after front, http://www.fdnewbieimports.com/Backup/product2pic.php?n=47 I bought the car for $13,500 and have put around $15,000 dollars into upgrades. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. On Dec-04-10 at 09:15:52 PST, seller added the following information: Up for sale is my pride and joy, my 1994 FD RX-7.
