1992 BMW 325IC Convertible Coupe This vehicle is a RARE and BEAUTIFUL low mileage Collector’s Car that has been well maintained that would be an easy full restoration project. MOST OF ALL, THIS CAR IS VERY FAST AND FROM THE 80s and 90s BMW MOTORSPORT ERA!!! THERE ARE ONLY A FEW OF THESE RARE BMW CONVERTIBLE COUPES STILL AVAILABLE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS EXCELLENT CONDITION. This vehicle gets stares everywhere I drive it. I placed it in a few car shows this summer and it receives a lot of attention. The mileage on the vehicle is low at 186K and based on the previous owners account, this 18 year old car was driven less than 10K miles per year. The condition of the car speaks to how well it was driven and cared for The title to this vehicle is clear and has been endorsed by the previous owner. I also have a copy of the vehicle history report that shows this vehicle has had no accidents or negative history. Additionally, I have all maintenance documents on this vehicle since 1993 and the original 3-seires literature to include the radio cassette head cleaning tape. The engine and transmission are original and do not have any modifications. The fuel injected straight-6 engine is extremely strong and does not smoke or burn oil. The powerful car travels the highway straight and smoothly. I would recommend that the car have the car evaluated before a lengthy trip, but the car has been driven locally without problems. I installed new front struts this summer. THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL, so it has a few minor dings and blemishes in the body that can be easily repaired, if the new owner desires. I would estimate the paint on the car to be a 6 out of a perfect 10. My plan was to fully restore the vehicle over a few years and finish the project with a show-quality paint job. The 15” BBS wheels on the car are original and the tires on the car are BF Goodrich and have about 85% tread-life remaining. The Ricaro seats were professionally recovered this summer with dark blue vinyl. The car is equipped with the factory optional heated seats that work well. There are no tears in the dashboard. The door panels are original and in good condition. The carpet is original and in good condition. All of the seat belts, seat belt loops, light globe covers, ashtrays, control knobs are present and are in good condition. The power windows work fine. The convertible top was replaced approx 2 years ago by the previous owner and it is in good condition. The top does need a little assistance when closing and opening since the new top is a little thicker than the original. The original factory cassette radio is still in the car and has great sound. None of the original speakers are busted or rattle. The bumpers on the vehicle are in good condition and do not have any major dents or bends in them. The floor pans on the vehicle are solid without rust. There is no rust in the wheel wells or door jambs, but the fuel door has a couple of door dings where the paint has chipped in that area. The rear moulding on the PS has a loose clip that causes the moulding to sag just a bit. Is barely noticeble (I included a photo of the moulding) The air conditioning on the car needs to be recharged, but was rarely used because of the convertible top. The front glass on the vehicle is in great condition without chips or cracks, but the rear plastic glass is starting to fade and has a small sun spot on it. There is an inexpensive kit available on-line that will easily clear the rear window. The trunk cargo area is in excellent condition. The original factory jack is still in the trunk. The spare tire is the original spare tire with original rim. The original emergency tools are still in the vehicle trunk and are in excellent condition. As with most E30s, this vehicle has quirks that are typical of this series: When I had the seats recovered, the SRS light came on and I have not had this evaluated. This indicator light causes the check gauges light to come on in the gauge cluster; 2. The on-board computer works and computes mileage, MPG, and has timer, but needs to be reset to show date and time—I do not know how to do this 3. The A/C needs to be recharged 4. The PS door lock is stubborn and does not lock with the key, but opens with the key 5. The plastic lip on the front air dam is missing 6. The tachometer does not work 7. The convertible parade boot on the deck lid does not latch when the top is down My intent is to represent this vehicle well in my description in hope that a new owner will give this car the due love that it needs.
