1970 Buick Electra 225 Coupe This vehicle is a RARE all-original BEAUTIFUL Southern Collector’s Car that has been well maintained that would be an easy full restoration project. MOST OF ALL, THIS CAR IS FROM THE 70s GM BUICK LUXURY ERA!!! THERE ARE ONLY A FEW OF THESE RARE BUICK COUPES STILL AVAILABLE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS EXCELLENT CONDITION I purchased this vehicle from the original owner’s family as a restoration project and weekend driver for local car shows. The original owner was a military officer who maintained this vehicle meticulously and gave the car to his grandson when he could no longer drive it. The car was a special order with power options, speed monitoring, vinyl top, fender skirts, and wire wheels. He was very proud of this car and it shows in its’ upkeep. This car has been stored for the past few years in covered storage and has never been wrecked The mileage on the vehicle is original at 128,000. The title to this vehicle is clear and has been endorsed by the original owner’s grandson The engine and transmission are original and do not have any modifications. The 455 V8 engine with 4bbl carb is extremely strong and does not smoke or burn oil. The car travels the highway straight and smoothly. I would recommend that the car have the front brakes evaluated as they tend to grab at higher speeds. I had the car repainted last year with a respectable, but not show quality paint job because the original paint started to fade. When I had it painted, I did not a few fix a few minor dings and blemishes in the body. The front Buick bumper decal was removed by the original owner and cannot be located by the family. My plan was to fully restore the vehicle over a few years and finish the project with a show-quality paint job. The wire wheels on the car are original and the tires on the car are new white wall 15” series. The interior is in excellent condition for a classic car that is over forty years old. The seats were covered for the past few years with custom seat covers that were removed for the photos and will be included in the sale. There are no rips or tears in the vinyl seats. The rear seat has been used sparingly. There are no tears in the dashboard. The door panels are original and in excellent condition. The carpet is original and in great condition and has one water stain on the driver’s side that can be cleaned or dyed easily. All of the seat belts, seat belt loops, light globe covers, ashtrays, control knobs are present and are in good condition. The power windows work fine, but the driver’s side window is slow to close due to age. The doors open and shut like new! The original factory radio was removed and is not included in the sale. The original radio was replaced by an aftermarket am/fm cassette radio by the original owner. The package tray has had four 6x9 speakers installed. The bumpers on the vehicle are in excellent condition, but could use refinishing and do not have any major dents or bends in them. The floor pans on the vehicle are solid without rust. There is no rust in the wheel wells or door jambs. The air conditioning on the car works fine, but the fan blower may need to be replaced as it does not powerfully circulate the air. The glass on the vehicle is in great condition. The cargo area is in good condition, but the trunk carpet has been removed. My intent is to represent this vehicle well in my description in hope that a new owner will give this car the due love that it needs. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will deliver this vehicle to a shipping terminal within the Houston area at no charge to the buyer on December 10 or this vehicle can and must be picked up between December 10 only. .
