1964 Comet Caliente 2-Door Hard Top V-8 Automatic original condition except for Paint job a few months ago. A Buddy of mine picked it up from the original owner a while back and never really did anything with it but have it painted. As far as the paint goes it looks good but is driver quality, not perfect, has in perfections, in other words not a 3300.00 paint job. As far as rust it is pretty solid, had a little rust on lower passenger quarter and passenger floorpan., So it is not rust free, Nothing serious. I have original Bill of sale from new and last registration. Never Titled. Engine runs good, Cranks right up, no noise but smokes, I am pretty sure it is from a stuck ring from setting up. I put some transmission fluid in oil to maybe help it. I'm sure new rings and guide seals would cure it. It has never been messed with. Still has original generator cover, that is pretty rare. I also have under dash complete Air. Cond. system that goes with car. Needs trunk lock and a passenger window regulator installed comes with car. This is a sharp old car but it is un-restored and is 46 years old. It has never been titled but has antique tag and registration. Mississippi was not a title state back then. and some of the cars from back then never changed hands. In other words original owner never sold to anyone else, therefore was not titled.
