Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe with desirable body style (suicide doors) was donated to my scientific project by distinguished gentlemen who started restoration project a while ago and then lost interest. To best of my knowledge it has a rebuilt flat 6 engine and 12 volt system (with 90% wiring which need to be finished). It starts right up and drives very well. (I personally drove it around the block several times with no problem). Odometer reads following: 24,259. Three on the tree manual transmission works smooth and goes in reverse nicely too. Have five original hubcaps and comes with two extra tires with rims. Body is in pretty good shape in spite that front floor panels have metal reverted sheets installed. Some spots in the trunk also need to be fixed but nothing major. Doors are solid and close tight, all handles work and are in good shape. Bumpers and some other parts need to be re-chromed, except the front grill and headlight trim rings which are in very good condition. One minor vertical crack in passenger side window glass (depicted on picture) does not effect rolling up and down and I don’t thing it needs to be replaced. Car has a new battery, new 12 volt ignition coil and alternator. Engine runs very smooth with no knocking or any other strange noises-no oil leaks or oil spots and no smoke at all. Has a new headliner, floor carpet and door panels installed recently. Has a trailer hitch too.This is a nice example of convenient, relatively small size car of late 40’s which you would love to own.
