Vehicle Detail

Thanks for looking, This project is sold as a bill of sale! My friend and I have decided to build a Model A Roadster High boy, so we are offering this 27 Dodge Brothers pickup project for sale. This is a realy NICE pickup project and a GREAT starting point for someone, especially those who live in the rust belt areas of the country. You will be so much further ahead both finacially and labor wise with this sheetmetal, than if you were to purchase some worn out rust bucket. In its' current condition, it is nicer than many of the finished "rods" you see at shows or those cars regularly showcased on a monthly basis in the 'Fad" magazines. It could be a realy neat hot rod, custom or traditional build. It is probably too nice for a rat rod...however, that decision is yours to make. When it was delivered to us the "truck driver" refused to unload the truck until he had the chance to try and purchase it from us. At the time, we had no interest in selling it. 1927 Dodge Brothers pickup -Nice cab with doors (NOT CHOPPED) -Nice uncut original dash and guage cluster -Original 2 piece Safari windshield frames and hardware- functioning -Factory seat base / box -Original steering wheel, mechanisms, shaft cover and mounting bracket -Steering shaft -Rear cab panel with small rearwindow -Very nice cowl -Very nice original 4 piece hood with louvered side panels - Original left and right side front fenders Bed -All structure -Real nice original bed sides with no rust and practically dent free -Original Dodge tailgate in nice shape -Original hinges and latches -Original left and right side rear fenders Extras -Original front bumper -Original rear bumper and bracket -Original grille shell -Nice radiator -some extra hinges, brackets and lockdown pedal The driver door hinges are missing and will need replacing. The upper driver door window frame has been hand fabricated by someone and NOT what I would consider a quality job. The passenger door could use a patch at the very bottom The cowl will need a little attention (minor metal work) at the bottom of the passenger side and a small patch panel at the very lower area of the driver side. The firewall had been removed prior to my purchasing of this truck! The rear sub structure at the rear of the bed should be replaced if you were to keep the bed at its' full length. I am not including a shipping quote for this auction, as the arrangements and costs are the buyers responsibilty. With that said, we are very easy to get along with and will gladly assist you and your shipper in any manner that we can, to make this a very easy and smooth transaction for all involved. The truck is presently in safe storage and keeping at my shop. I will gladly keep it stored at no cost to you for the amount of time that you may require, so long as the truck is paid in full when the auction ends. It is stored at a commercial building with plenty of room for almost 20 eighteen wheelers, so the shipping company will not have any problems or issues with getting in or out of my facility. Please feel free to email any questions that you may have! We also have a complete early 1964 Pontiac 389 and tranny that we would be willing to sell if you are in need of a drivetrain for this cool little pickup. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! On Nov-30-10 at 17:41:03 PST, seller added the following information: I like to be upfront and honest. I am not into playing games. We only have this listed because we are starting on a Model A project. We like this truck very much and will gladly finish it once the A is completed. We are not desperate to sell nor are we hurting for money. The price for this project is $1500. If this dollar figure is not met, we will gladly keep it and let it remain in storage until we can get to it. Thanks!
