This is a VW Super Beetle Classic Karmann the final 1979 "Epilogue Edition" black on black. These were produced in limited numbers to provide one to each dealer as the final VW's to enter the U.S.A. It is black to pay tribute to the first VW which was all black. Exterior wise, the car has received a brand new paint job in it's original color and it looks great! It has a very good driver quality paint job. The car receives many compliments every time I drive it! This car has a 1776cc dual carburetor performance engine. Runs great, starts every time, new heads, rebuilt carburetors. Have receipts for replaced starter, battery (2008), wires. Nice dash with no cracks on top from the sun and the wood trim looks great. Has a "T" handle shifter, 4 speed transmission shifts very well and doesn't pop out or grind at all. I bought it to drive for a summer car and now have to reduce the number of cars I have from 7 down to 5. It runs and drives nicely. All lights work including, brake, hazard, turn signal and headlights high and low. Now to be fair here are items that I want to mention: Wipers stopped working about a month ago, drivers seat has a worn through spot shown it the last picture, rest of the seats are great. The factory radio is placed in the dash but needs to be connected, The convertible top has a small 1 inch slice on each side (on the side of the roof) from when it folded- has been sealed from the inside might not notice but trying to describe everything the best I can, will not leak from this repair. So its a great summer car or for year round use. Mileage listed is what is shown on the odo.
