This concept car was a cabriolet version of the 911 and featured four-wheel drive. In 1981 the 911 SC went on sale ( the first cabriolet since the 356 ).The car was based on the Targa's bodywork and was said to need very little extra reinforcements. Since it's introduction the SC slowly gained market share at the expense of the Targa. The SC had some minor changes during the period it was sold. In1980, the same year the power was increased to 204 bhp, side-indicators were added behind the front wheel. In 1981 the spoiler for the 'Sport'-version was modified ( the Weissach-version in the image above still has the older model ). The air-inlet grille was now the same as on the 'Turbo' running across the whole length of the spolier. The room beneath the spoiler was still bigger than on the Turbo's spoiler. In 1981 this design was no longer used and the 'Sport'-version got the Turbo's spoiler as seen on this 1981 model. The silver rim of the Fuchs wheels. 1981 Porsche 911 SC 3.0L. It is equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. With only 71,607 miles and in good overall condition. The vehicle is white with a Black Leather interior. It is offered as-Is, Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Targa, Fuchs Alloy Wheels, AM-FM CD player. Everything is in good working condition. The spoiler/ Tail has wear but we have a replacement Tail to go with car jut tnever got around to having it installed. The spoiler is extra that orignally came in the 1984 911 model. The car was repainted white and they are some spots on the paints that are lifting a little which are shown on some of the pictures but nothing really major or too noticeable. Also the original dash no cracks. The car drives excellent and has been well mechanically maintained.
