Vehicle Detail
1977 Porsche 911 Slantnose 930s Conversion in excellent condition. This was a high-end professional conversion done in the 1980's by one of the top companies doing such conversions at that time. The entire interior appears to be genuine leather, as near as I can tell. Only the genuine Turbo models came with this much leather, and the interior still looks great. There are no signs of loose interior pieces or shoddy workmanship, this is a very tight interior. The stereo system would have been very expensive at the time it was installed, $4k to $5K: it has a subwoofer system custom fit behind the rear seats, cd changer, and large amplifier system. We purchased this car from a long-term owner in his 60's, and he took excellent care of the car all these years. He had not driven it for several years, so my best technician just performed $4000 worth of mechanical work on the car to bring it up to it's current running condition. It hits evenly on all cylinders and drives nicely on the freeway and on windy roads. I suspect when the conversion was done, there were some performance upgrades done on the engine, because it sounds great and has more power than normal 2.7 liter models that I have driven. I checked the numbers, and it is the original block in the car. The car presents itself very well. I owned a genuine European 930s Turbo Slantnose in the mid 1980's, and that was the car to have at that time. Many companies during that time were producing clones of the 930s, and this was obviously done by one of the better outfits, probably in Los Angeles where many of these companies were located. I will append a report from my technician outlining what mechanical work on the car was just performed.
