Vehicle Detail
This is a 30th Anniversary WS6 T/A. I was rear ended about 2 months ago. The damage to the car is rear of the doors. The rear hatch is fine. The rear spoiler is ok. The trunk would have to be replaced. The car was totaled mainly due to age and the unibody frame damage. I am not a auto body man but a few locals familiar with body work say it's not too hard to fix. They simply cut and weld a new back end on. The rear axle and wheels are fine. The car is drivable and drives fine and straight. I considered fixing it myself but I've moved on to another sports car. I considered parting it out because I've received so many request for parts but I'm am not set up to do this. The car is in the garage next to my other. The original LS1 auto has only 67000 miles on it and is strong as ever. Synthetic oil only. This car has never been raced. I've only run it up to 120mph once. The 30th wheels are in good shape. Need good polishing. The tires are Sumitomo 275/40/17 z rated. They have around 6000 miles on them. Anyone familiar with these wheels know they usually sell for around $500 a wheel. If you can find them. The interior is in decent shape. The white leather is fine except for the driver's seat. Is shows wear and the head rest has a hole. All speakers were replaced with pioneer. The pioneer deck stays. The '98 and '99 Trans Am had a defect in the interior door that should have been recalled but wasnt. There is a 1" crack in the plastic near the window of each door. The front dash also has a crack. A few mods: SLP air box. All Stainless GMMG Cat back exhaust. No damage and sounds great. The front head light gears were replaced with brass gears. Dont have to worry about that plastic gear wearing out. On Nov-07-10 at 10:57:10 PST, seller added the following information: You will notice 2 owners. My father-in-law purchased the vehicle new. I bought it from him. Also, if you check the car facts it shows up in fema area. That was due to hurricane Rita in '05 and Ike in '08. The vehicle was evacuated to Shreveport for Rita and College Station for Ike.
