I bought this bus in Encinitas Ca, in 2003. It was white with a nearly perfect interior. I took out all the glass and sanded off the old paint. I purchased all new window and door seals, and replaced the front windshield. I bought a new canvass for the pop top, and the hammock works perfectly. The child's cot works great too. The original front privacy curtain is included, as well as the rear bug net. This bus comes with the drive up tent. The tent is in excellent condition, it appears to have only been used a couple of times. This bus has always been garaged since I bought it with 64k miles. The sink pumps water with all of the original fixtures. Original drain cap, and water fill cap. My wife made the custom curtains which completely seal off the light. The hinges for the bed are excellent. There is 98% rust free in the van. Just a little under the front mats, and some in the battery pan. The drip rail is perfectly straight, and there is a cherry new bumper on the frnt that I found at a junkyard in New Mexico. The little rubber steps are brand new, and all the rubber was replaced sealing this van perfectly. The pop top works excellent. I replaced the generator and voltage regulator with an alternator and digital ignition(no more adjusting points!!) Blinkers, brake lights, heater, and everything else is working fine. This bus is driven almost every weekend to the beach. Everybody loves how all the trim is nearly perfect without wrinkles, and the fact that all the accessories are still with it. The bus is primered, and my wife and I painted a sunset mural on the back, just for fun. Alll that she needs is a nice paint job, and she's ready for another 40 years!!! The engine starts evertime, and purrs like a kitten. The freeway flyer transmission allows a top speed of nearly 75 miles per hour!!! I try to keep it at 60 mph however because it seems unnatural to go that fast in a bus. The front brakes are discs, and she stops on a dime. This bus is titled as a van camper so you don't need seat belts in the rear. The passenger seat is original, and almost perfect, however the driver seat needs a new cover. It would be hard to find a nicer 71 in this condition with all of the original accessories.
