Vehicle Detail
This truck was purchased new and maintained by one owner. It has 247,000 miles, mostly highway miles due to a long commute. It does have some scratches, an abrasive mark around the gas cap, some paint chips, and one or two small dents, but nothing serious. There is almost zero rust on the body. This 10-year-old truck has always been worked on professionally by the toyota garage when it needed new belts, etc. The oil was always changed ahead of schedule, and it is the original engine and transmission. Lately, the entire rack-and-pinion was replaced due to wear, and the radiator and transmission cooler were replaced due to a break in one of the lines. So all of the fluids, including anti-freeze and transmission were flushed and refilled several times, just to keep them clean. Other points worth mentioning: I've owned the truck since I bought it brand new with 5 miles on it. It has always run very well, and has well-maintained records. The worst accident that it ever had was a deer collision that had to be repaired. (It hit the side of the truck behind the cab and tore off the fender flare). The radio was replaced approximately 5 years ago by a unit with an MP3 jack on the face, but the actual CD player recently began to skip endlessly. So right now, I wouldn't bet on using cd's until it's cleaned up. The driver's door has a built-in light that turns on when it's opened. And sometimes that light will pop out of the socket when the door is shut. It just needs to be re-fastened or glued. The clock on the dashboard is also usually wrong, or it will blink endlessly. That is something that started the last time I put in a new battery (and I haven't gotten around to working on it, because the clock on the radio works just fine). The tires would probably still be good for another year. But if you plan on driving in the snow all the time, I would think about getting new ones. The current tread is adequate, but not perfect. The 4-wheel drive works great! Also, I had the dealership replace 3 of the 4 oxygen sensors recently. (They tend to go bad in a row, because when one malfunctions, the others have to work harder). The remaining sensor has been fine, but the catalytic converter also has to work harder when they go bad, and after changing the O2 sensors, it then set off the check engine light. That means that the converter might possibly need to be looked at down the road, or perhaps it might set off the check engine light again (it has been reset). So basically, the truck runs great, but it's impossible to know what the life span will be on that converter. According to the toyota dealer, it may go bad later or it may have turned on the check engine light just because of the changing of all the O2 sensors. There is some light corrosion on the wheels from the build-up of brake dust, but it's just cosmetic. This truck is one of the few early models that was a LIMITED model (power seats, fog lights, etc.) but it does NOT have leather seats. The cruise control works great (I have a long commute, and I use it all the time), but the light bulb that says "CRUISE" on the dash is burned out. The truck DOES include the very-nice WEATHERGUARD toolbox and the brush guard on the front, but the guard is rusting now and will need new paint someday. It also has an extra set of KC foglights that really help out. Overall, the truck is in very good condition, it has always been smoke-free, and is very clean inside. There is only one stain and one fabric tear. They are both right next to the driver's door. The side of the seat has a very small hole from rubbing against the power seat controls, and the door sill carpet at the bottom of the driver's seat is a little darker than normal. Both of these can be seen in the pictures. The truck does have airbags up front, and the LATCH system in the back for securing infant car seats. It also comes with a spare tire that has never been used and has lots of tread, along with a spare tire lock and wheel locks on all four corners. When I bought the truck new, I purchased a complete set of Official Toyota Tundra maintenance manuals to keep at home. They will go with the truck. It also has a security system, with the included key fob, AND two brand new key fobs that have never been used. This truck includes the factory tow package, power windows, power locks, automatic dimming rearview mirror (including temperature and compass), power side mirrors, air conditioning, power steering, cassette player and MP3 jack, and the original bed liner. It also includes the original owner's manual and a CLEAR TITLE. I have a notary nearby if your state requires you to sign the title transfer there. Pennsylvania inspection is good through first several months of 2011. For payment, I will accept cash and cashier's checks, if you are willing to go down the street to the bank and await verification with me. Full payment is due within 7 days. Delivery options are negotiable.
