Vehicle Detail
Looking to sell my 1991 Toyota Celica GT-S 5 speed manual 2 door hatchback. This hard to find model comes equipped with the 2.2L engine, power windows & locks, power moonroof, A/C, cruise control, ABS brakes, driver side airbag, and original stock wheels. I installed a Pioneer CD/mp3 player with Pioneer speakers (two 4 inch speakers in the front, two 6x9s in the back with tweeters). The radio has an auxiliary cord that will plug into your ipod or mp3 player. The car has about 217,000 miles. Vehicle History: I am the 2nd owner of the car and have had it for 4 years. My father is a Toyota Master Technician at a Toyota dealership in New Jersey and has maintained the car for me. It has been garage kept since I bought it. I used the car mainly to commute to graduate school since it got great gas mileage (28mpg on the highway). The previous owner was an older couple that drove it mainly on the highways and was garage kept as well. Current Status: This is an excellent running car with no major issues. It has a clear title. It has never been modified and all the parts used to repair it have been Toyota genuine parts. The clutch is strong and was replaced at around 150,000 along with the timing belt and water pump. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The tires are all-season tires and are 1 year old and have about 10,000 miles on them. The tires were recently rotated, balanced and aligned over the summer. The battery was replaced last fall and holds a charge well. Also I replaced the radiator and distributor cap, wires and spark plugs at about 190,000. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles with Toyota genuine oil and filter. Most importantly with this car is there is virtually NO rust on the vehicle which is extremely rare to find a car this old in New England. However, the car does have a few dings and dents (remember it is almost 20 years old!) in the rear passenger side. The paint is original and shines real well for a car this old. The GT-S is a really difficult model to find these days. Most 5th generation Celicas you'll see today are either the ST or GT models and usually look pretty beat up! What separates the GT-S from the other model is its sport features such as the distinctive wide body and sport bucket seats that were taken from the All-Trac Turbo on the 5th gen. It is a unique and wonderful car to drive that revs up real nice and shifts flawlessly.
