1985 300d turbo diesel 241,000 miles on the odometer. Although true mileage is around 229,000 when the odometer quit. I put the original odometer in the trunk. I bought this car almost a year ago to the day and have driven it maybe five thousand miles(original mileage was 224,399). I bought the car as a secondary vehicle and had planned to do some restoration to it. Long story short I don't need two cars now and this one has to go. I have done quite a bit of work to the power-train, but didn't really get to the interior. Here is a link to a short video I made of the car running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=596R-YUgt5A New Parts installed in the last year: New Instrument Cluster with 241,xxx miles on it due to the old one crapped out New glow plugs New glow plug relay(aftermarket runs for three minutes and cuts off and makes cold weather starts a breeze.) New alternator New heater control valve New headlights to take standard bulbs conversion and new corner lamps New thermostat New trunk liner I also installed a boost gauge and voltmeter under the radio(see pics) Valves adjusted last January Oil just changed Engine runs strong and sounds good, the car shifts smooth. Body is in excellent shape with quarter size paint chip on the hood and some scratches on the hood. No rust on the body or underneath the car. Now onto the bad: the interior was re-stained but never got to the door panels or headliner. I put the stain in the trunk and that way the buyer can finish the job and no what to buy if in need of more stain. The stain is professional grade and the seats came out very nice. There are two holes in the seats, one in the front and one in the rear(both are small). Also I don't have the master key and was quoted 20.00 from Mercedes for it, but never got around to order one. I have the valet key and it opens the drivers door and starts the car.The radio doesn't work and the former owner put an aftermarket antenna on it. Update was playing around with the car and the horn doesn't work? I have no idea what is wrong with it(could be the actual horn or could be the steering wheel?) Either way I am just letting any potential bidders know.
