Vehicle Detail

This original Willys MB 1/4T truck (jeep) has been carefully disassembled down to the individual nut and bolt, completely restored, repainted (with original red oxide primer and #317 Olive drab flat paint) as per the original specifications of 1941 according to the Army Technical Manual (TM). The engine, transmission, transfercase, voltage regulator and generator were professionally rebuilt by Ron Fitzpatrick G-503 Jeep Parts and the differentials and drive lines were rebuilt by Driveline Specialties (well known for their bulletproof Rubicon runners). The entire jeep was taken down to the frame and laser-alligned, blasted free of any rust and prepped according to the appropriate TM specs. The tub was also soda blasted free of any rust, the hat channels replaced along with several floor pan sections and painstakingly reassembled according to the appropriate TM after receiving 2 coats of the red-oxide priimer and 3 coats of the #17 O.D. green. The jeep has all original parts except the rear seat frame, front bumper and gussets, canvas (which is from Beachwood and WeeBee) and the entire electrical wiring system (which is from Vintage Wiring of Maine) including 6-volt battery. This jeep is a very nice motorpool class restoration, the body shows the original bumps and bruises associated with a frontline combat vehicle but the mechanics are as good as new! The jeep has 5 combat wheels with new 6.00x16 NDT tires. I have much more invested in this jeep than my reserve is set at so please don't call to bargain. The vehicles does not come with any implied or specified warranty and is sold as is. The web gear and field items, such as shovel, mussette bag, helmet, ect are not included in the sale but the vehicle does come with OEM tirejack, tire iron, tire pump, manual starting crank, headlamp covers, 5Gal. gas can, and collapsible canvas bucket (as shown on rear of jeep) and a canvas windscreen cover. Pickup, shipping and registration is the sole responsibility of the buyer, I am too old and too tired to be driving a car trailer to a shipping agent. Buyer must submit a non-refundable downpayment of $1000. within 48 hrs of auction close and full payment within 14 days of auction closing. The only trade I am interested in would be a Dodge command car '40-'45 or a Willys Slattie or Ford GP so please do not contact me with trade offers of ski boats, motorhomes or small children! On Nov-09-10 at 07:06:47 PST, seller added the following information: Data Plate Info: Ser # 423549 DoD 3-7-45 Frame Tag # MB423549 Motor # MB393138 ACM II Tub # 207242On Nov-09-10 at 18:03:41 PST, seller added the following information: Motor # MB434969
