Offering a rare 1966 Fiberfab Aztec Gt fiberglass kit car project on a Volkswagen chassie. This car is unique and documented. I have the original builder's notes, a picture of this car in the builder's wedding in 1968, parking lot racing and it was in VW Autoist magazine in 1968. This is a car for people that like empi, okrasa, speedwell, Denzel, petri, Devin, Kellison, and rare and vintage vw racing stuff. 1966 Fiberglass Aztec Gt body (modified by original builder) on a 1966 VW ball joint chassis, body overall is good, needs some minor repair around the front grill, the white you see in places is the original gel coat, some fiberglass showing in places, clear Pa. title and it is titled as a 1962 VW. The brakes on the chassie were completely redone. It has 2 NOS German and 2 NOS Italian brake drums, NOS German wheel cylinders, NOS German master cylinder, NOS brake shoes, vintage Armstrong used adjustable front shocks, coil over NOS rear shocks, all new brake lines. Porsche 356 gauges on dash, relocated hand brake to left side, has VW bus fresh air vents under dash. New custom aluminum gas tank mounted in rear of car in front of the engine in the luggage area, solid floors, frame and axle beam is good, glass is good, small nick in windshield but will not affect inspection, VW trans is good, it has 1965 Chevy Impala tail lights (mostly NOS), it also has the very rare NOS plexiglass headlight covers that are always missing. This car is being sold without an engine. It uses a VW or Porsche engine or a corvair engine can be used with a trans adapter. This car was built in 1966 - 1968 by an engineer named Cam Morrision in St. Louis, Missouri. It was featured on the cover of VW autoist in March 1968. The story goes Cam purchased the Fiberfab "lift roof" Aztec GT kit and built the car. He had it in his wedding in 1968 (I have a picture). One day after it rained he opened the lift roof (hydrolic operated to let his wife out and all the water poured in on his wife. He got so mad he pulled the car into the garage, shut the lift roof, and drew the doors on the sides with a magic marker and the second car modification began. He made the car have regular opening doors with inside hinges and metal rain gutters installed into the fiberglass body above the doors, and added chain driven power windows. Amazing! the doors open from the inside with a hidden button, and the power windows work well! He modified the front end to have a removable grill, spare tire can go behind it and is strapped in, added side scopes on the tilt back end to funnel more air into the engine compartment.
