1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL in beautiful original restored condition. Original 4.5 liter fuel injected V-8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and factory A/C in good working condition. The car was painted about 4 years ago and the paint is in exceptional condition. The original interior is in great shape and the carpet was replaced when the car was painted. The car has only 70,953 original miles and runs and drives like a dream! The Michelin tires are in very good condition with very low mileage. This car was restored from a very solid original car. The body was completely stripped prior to painting. The body looked like stainless steel with the exception of the factory rock guard material. The car was painted with PPG base coat/clear coat. Mechanics were in excellent condition and were cleaned and painted. Floorpan is excellent with factory undercoat - complete undercarriage was painted. The trunk compartment has it's original Mercedes material with a new Michelin spare and original jack. Engine compartment appears as it left the factory, with the exception of paint. Wheel covers are excellent and painted red to match the body color. New tinted windshield. All new rubber weather seals. Engine and A/C run cool. This car has won numerous trophies - most recently in the 2010 Texas Tour as the "Best Restored Car from 1961 to 1985" and the "Best in Class" from the same tour. The car has both tops, and the soft convertible top has been replaced with Original style German canvas. The car also includes the original owners manual. Same owner last 10 years. The car has always been garaged after restoration, and has been exceptionally well cared for. The car is currently registered as an antique auto in Texas and has a clear Texas title.
