See more photos at here Includes photos of odometer, interior, engine, etc. This car was purchased new by my father in Albuquerque NM and brought out to Southern CA shortly thereafter. I have owned it since 1999...so technically it is not 1-owner. It has been garaged its entire life and has been used primarily for daily commuting. It is registered and until one month ago was a daily driver (replaced with a newer car). All systems work on this car (lighting, wipers, washers, A/C, ventilation, defrost, radio). The odometer did stop for some time and I estimate that the true mileage is closer to 400,000. The odometer has worked since I removed the instrument cluster to replace the instrument bulbs and reattach the trip-odo reset button. The engine was rebuilt at 185,000 miles (Molnar Bros, Ventura CA) and the injection pump rebuilt in 2005 (Diesel Injection Systems, Santa Maria CA). The engine runs strong and the transmission shifts fine. You can expect ~41 mpg. Service in the last few years includes new replacement axles (complete on both sides), new output flange seals on the transmission, new injector fuel return hoses and cold air intake hose, and the usual battery/belts/tires/oil/filters. I have been running it on B5 fuel for a year, when it became easily available locally. Body damage (see photos on Photobucket, link below) is from various roadway action. The hood and driver door damage was sustained in a glancing collision with a deer. I drove away from that impact with a smashed headlight and a pounding heart. The fender was replaced by a Jetta fender, the door is original as is the hood (white replacement hood located at a local wrecking yard if interested). Included with the car are various trim pieces, new master cylinder, CV boots, snow chains, and a new driver side fender (found the white Jetta fender instead). Wheels are from a 1982 Audi 4000 and the tires are Sumitomo HTR200s from Tire Rack.
