Up for auction is this 1949 Willys CJ3A. The current owner is the 2nd Owner. Was purchased in Kansas City in 1949, was driven to Merwin Missouri, and has been there ever since. It has been shedded it's entire life. The only thing that is not original is the gas tank. And to clear things up the rear seat IS an ORIGINAL very early CJ3 seat. The doors ARE INCLUDED and in good condition. We just didn't get a pic of them. The only rust through is two very small (about 1 1/2" in diameter) holes just under the REMOVABLE hard top near the back by the cab mounts on the sheet metal. The cab mounts are original and are NOT rusted or damaged. No rust on the floor pans, or in the tool box pan that is under the passenger side seat. Still has the original 6 volt system. It starts, runs, and drives fine. But will need a clutch, some brake work, and maybe u-joints depending on how much and how often you plan on driving it. Will be a local pickup about 40 miles south of Kansas City, at zip code 64723, or you arrange transport. Bring your ramps or lowboy, as we don't have a loading dock. Additionally, the jeep does NOT need a clutch, brake work, or u-joints at this time. It starts, runs, shifts, and stops just fine. We just wanted to mention those things that will be needed somewhere down the road, DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH YOU PLAN ON DRIVING IT.
