This is a unique car. I am told, on the Oldsmobile sites that a 2 door 98 of that era is rare. They must be correct because I have driven this car over the last 7 years and only have seen one and it was rusted out. This car is without rust. Always in my garage or covered.( the cover goes with the car ). Full power windows and seats, power steering, tilt wheel, power brakes. A/C works and is all there, has the old freon in it and i doubt strongly you will get another year out of it. All of the luxury items. The interior is flawless not a tear or stain, not even any worn spots on the plush seats. Headliner is perfect. No cracks in the dash. Carpet has no tears or worn spots, the whole interior needs a good cleaning that is all. All the glass is good no cracks. Febuary 09 had the transmission completly rebuilt to the tune of $2565.45. ( I have the receipt) This included all the engine and trans. mounts. In the past two years the following has been done. Belts and hoses, radiator flushed , thermastate, all new injectors, battery, starter, altinator, catiletic converter ($245 for that Dam thing). Has a Pensylvania inspection good until 2/11. Here is the Bad. The engin has a slight vibration in it ,but only at idle. I was told to put upgraded injectors in it ( whatever that means) and that should cure it. I have had some trouble with the two windows falling off the tract. The motors are good, the windows are up and on the tract but are going to need some attention. I am told it is an easy and inexpensive fix. Thats all. As far as I know I am the third owner and the milage is original. Looking at condition the car this is most likely correct. This car glides down the highway, and to be honest, has a smother ride than my 96 deville. My daughter has gone to college and I am not using it that much. I dont want it to just sit Idle. I am sure there is an Oldsmobile Guy or Gal that will give this a good home. It will be nice to have the space in the garage again. So off it goes. GOOD LUCK. Feel free to email me with any questions.
