Vehicle Detail

Old age and poor health have brought me to this point. My kids aren't interested in my hobby so I won't burden them with having to take care of selling them when I'm worm dirt. I have owned a bunch of IHC trucks since my 20's and this one got me into the more money than brains club. I have enjoyed fixing this one up and driving it over the seven years I have owned it. I will miss it but I can no longer wrench on it and it will start going to the dogs without the care they need, after all it is older than alot of you reading this. I had the inland north west for a territory before I retired and bought this from an old bus mechanic ( he was the second owner living outside Post Falls ID. He owned it for around 11 years. ) The guy that bought it new was from southern California and moved to Idaho and sold it after the first winter. The line setting ticket shows it delivered to Deis truck and equipment in Escondido Calif. I intended to use it around my place in Missouri because of the heavy suspension package. I still use it but with great care. I had the paint and interior done in 2005 as well as purchasing the bed and tool boxes and having them installed. All this work was done in Spokane at Titan truck equipment. It has a 392 with the 727 automatic transmission. This is a better combanation than the 4 and 5 speed transmissions. I have owned them all. It also has a locking dana 60 with 4:11 ratio. It also has full floating axles. It has a loose fitting trailer hitch but works fine and is very strong. There is a second mounted spare like the one bolted to the headache rack, there are also all the 16.5 rims with it. I converted to 16 inch tires for greater selection. There is no rust or rot in the cab. The paint is two stage; color plus clear coat. There are some dings hear and there, the worst is some gravel rache next to the headlights. It happened when I drove it back to Missouri in the winter. The transmission shifts smooth and doesn't slip. I put a set of stans hearders on, as I did with most of my others. They breath much better and stans are 16 gauge; they last!!. The engine will hold 50 lbs pressure with 10W 40, slightly less with 30 wt. It had a faint wrist pin noise when I bought it and decided to let it develop, that was seven years ago it is still the same. I think someone spun it up to fast. When it is up to temp it can't be heard. I'm old school, if it's not broke don't screw with it. However having disclosed this I bought a new Isky cam for when the time came to freshen it up. This goes with it as well. They are the only ones making a line of cams for this engine that I am aware of. Its a mid range matched to the 4:11 axel. I have all the paper work with it. If you want to look it up the part number is 190170 (Isky racing cams). It also has a noisy lifter and you can't adjust these lifters. It hasn't changed since it started a couple of years ago. It started on a trip back from Atlanta. I put a new Holly on with manual chock. I would drive it anyware and I still do. The speaker to the radio needs new paper; reconed is what I think they call it. I added a 16 gal fuel cell, thats it in the bed, ( Jegs ) for long trips and now it is the only tank I use as it is easier on fuel filters. I can't think of anything else. give me a call if you have any questions. Please don't call after 9:00 PM centrel time as I get tired and have to go to bed. That is two hours ahead of west coast time for all of you living in rio linda. 678-294-0568 Once the auction is over I would like to get paid in 7 days or less ; also a $200.00 deposit inside of 72 hours. You can pay with a bank check or personal check. Personal checks will have to clear the bank before you get your truck. You can leave it hear until you get time to get it but I won't keep it in the garage. The old lady has claimed it's spot already. I would like it gone by Christmas. Have fun and get your money together. One last thing; the seat is covered in leather ( one full hide ) the sides are nagahide. Post Scrip: I had the VIN # from my Travelall written into the discription, I will relist again incase the number was causing some heart burn. It almost met the reserve. I also think some people may be scared of the engine, I perhaps painted a gloomey picture. It's got lots of life left. Tom
