1976 Mercury Marquis Colony Park wagon. Here is a real survivor. This rare car has held up remarkably well. The car shows 37,000 miles. This was Mercury's top of the line wagon. It has nearly every option available in 1976. Real leather interior. Not vinyl. Real leather. Also, the 460 V8 with the four barrel carb. Factory dual exausts, and has the code for the posi rear end. Power windows, locks and seat, stereo radio and the dual facing rear seats. Also has the dual remote mirrors and the luggage rack with deflector. The two way tailgate works perfectly and the rear window goes down from inside and outside. The car runs and drives very well. The transmission shifts perfectly and the engine is quiet and there is no smoke. There are no noisy manifold noises either. It is a super driver. It tracks nice and straight. Body wise the original wood sides are very well preserved. Not perfect, but real nice for a 35 year old car. Very straight down the sides. The paint is very presentable and has a nice shine. Looks to have been refinished once on the tops. The bottom edges are very nice and sharp. The bottom edges show some minor touchup. All professionally done. The under carriage is all original and there is no patch work anywhere. The bottom of the spare tire well is perfect and has never been rusted. The floors are dry and clean and the frame only shows surface rust. Overall real good chassis. The interior is in great shape. The original leather is nice and looks great in the factory two tone colors. Only minor cracking, hardly any. The carpet has no holes. Has some sun fade in spots. It is the thick shag typical seventies style. Perfect headliner, dashpad nice, no cracks, door panels mint. The rear area is in nice condition. Does not look like it was used by kids. The chrome and stainless is top notch too. No flaws in the glass. Now for the negatives. The air cond blows warm. The compressor is turning, the belt is on it .Probably needs freon. The driver's power window does not function. Nor the digital clock. The other three windows work fine as does the power seat and locks. Someone disabled the vacume system for the headlight doors. The headlights work fine. All else works properly. This is a great car. I wish I could keep it. Call me at 508-498-5789 with any questions. The car is for sale locally.
