RARE, RARE LOW MILE SURVIVOR VERY NICE RESTORED CONDITION 1958 FORD FAIRLANE 500 SKYLINER RETRACTABLE 68,750 ORIGINAL MILES WOW... WHAT AN AMAZING CRUISER !!! Very rarely do you see a Skyliner 500 retractable in this type of cosmetic and mechanical condition. Although an older restoration, this car is ready to drive, show, & have fun... Ford produced the Skyliner Hardtop Retractable Convertible for three years, 1957-1959. It was Ford's most expensive car and the mechanical achievement of the top was way ahead of its time. Very few of these remain today and few are in the condition of this car. While not a $80-100K frame off restoration, this car is very nice and drives as good as it looks. Older repaint in its original Colonial White & Aqua still shows very nice. When painted, new white / aqua interior was installed in the original pattern. I have just installed new carpet, sill plates, & windlace. Top functions as it should. Powered by its rebuilt original 352 V-8 and three speed manual on the column, this car is very nimble for it size and a blast to drive. I have the original overdrive transmission and it will come with the car if desired. For the serious Ford collector, this is a dream come true... No accident damage, no major bondo, and very nice chrome & stainless make this absolutely one of the best surviving examples of this rare Ford... The underside is as nice as the top !!! Garage kept, pampered and serviced, this car could not be nicer. This car has been refreshed, detailed and ready to drive or show. FEATURES AND OPTION INFORMATION EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE CLOCK!!! 100% straight original sheet metal. Very nice older repaint in factory Colonial White / Aqua Nice matching interior upholstery & door panels Fantastic chrome and soft trim throughout Original rebuilt 352 cubic inch V-8 engine Detailed engine compartment Rebuilt three speed manual transmission Power steering (unit off for rebuild) / power brakes Deluxe Town & Country AM radio & factory clock Dual spotlight / mirror combinations that work Continental kit and brand new trunk lining kit Factory wheel covers and newer wide whitewall radial tires 68,000 original miles !!! Value in collector cars is all about the right color combination and original condition.I deal in low mileage, original cars & trucks...
