Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I have a 1989 Honda PC800. Pacific Coast Motorcycle which I bought in middle of summer of 2010. The bike had been setting up for about 3 years and I found it in NY City, NY from an older couple. It only had 10,500 miles on it. I bought this bike for my wife because she was going to get her license this summer because of what she has been thru in the last year with cancer, only to find out after I did all the work & investment that she could not handle the bike. Of course the carb’s had to be gone thru and the tires were replaced and all the brakes replaced from sitting .The bike is in great shape for being 21 years old, but the color was red and I could not figure out why because in 1989 the only color manufactured was white. I discovered that the previous owners had it painted because he they wanted it to look like the 90 model but changed the bottom color to gold so it would stand out as his own bike. Have factory owners and workshop manuals with factory tool kit too. I got constant 50-55 MPG at 60-70mph when I got done with it and drove it and which with 2 people it can handle all day. It has 2 huge trunk storage areas, and it's virtually care-free as far as maintenance. It has shaft-drive (no chain to oil or belt to replace), hydraulic valves (so no need to adjust them), self-canceling turn signals, a large easy to read dash display, center-stand. The engine is a carbureted liquid cooled 800cc V-twin, it runs excellent, starts right up, and don’t smoke or leak, and I've not had any problems from it. Water cooling is great when you get stuck in traffic. This is an 800cc V-Twin Shaft drive with new tires, battery, battery tender hooked up for storage, oil change, front brake pads, spark plugs and air filter, fuel filter. This bike has the reputation as the best commuter bike due to the full fairing upright rider position and the huge trunk. The trunk can hold a large laptop case one side and a gym bag on the other or many bags of groceries. This would also be a nice smaller touring bike for smaller person or a lady. Items changed due to it sitting in the garage & needed them New Tires Metzeler New Brakes New Battery with battery tender wired in New Fluids all fluids changed Brakes bleed Clutch bleed Rear diff fluid changed New OE air filter Carbs rebuilt & synced Fresh Tune up Plugs Replaced Handle bar grips PC 800 Trunk Assist Springs Replaced head light with a new Super White H.I.D look H-4 bulb 98% Xenon Gas Filled Installed LED Lighting around rotors covers and in back on sides controlled by a switch ONLY 12,289 MILES ON THIS BIKE These bikes have a direct drive system, self adjusting Hydraulic Clutch, Self Adjusting Lifters. They have been known to go 200 thousand miles with no problems. I have driven it after doing the work and put on 2000 miles and can say this is a nice riding bike. Just remember it is 21 years old so by no means is this is in no show room condition. I do have the receipts for everything I did do to it. I have the title in hand and it's ready to be ridden away. You could easily trek across the country with it as it is without any worry. Call me at 440-521-1528 to ask any? $250 IS DUE BY 3 DAYS AT THE END OF AUCTION AND IS NOT REFUNDABLE AND THE BALANCE DUE IN CASH AT TIME OF PICK UP.
