You're bidding on a 1986 Volkswagen Golf. The engine was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and it runs great. In fact, it starts right up and it will start even on the coldest of days in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The glow plugs work and the clutch has worked fine. This was a car that my younger brother had purchased with the intentions of fixing and driving, but due to certain circumstances that car has not been completed and it hasn't been licensed or inspected. However, he has patched the weak spots in the floor, patched the rear quarter panels, and he has patched the lower panel on the driver's door; and he also has the patch made for the lower portion of the passenger door, but it has to be installed. My father owns a body shop, thus, the patches are not simply full of bondo. The car really lacks very little to complete before painting, but it obviously could use some TLC. The mechanics overall are very solid, but the car could use brake lines and some routine maintenance. Interior is in decent shape considering the age of the car and is certainly presentable; however, the headliner needs to be re-glued.
