Heres an opportunity to own a true classic - a legendary roadster that helped define the breed. Best of all, this vintage hardtop convertible is available for far less than you would imagine. In fact, this is a NO RESERVE auction, so YOU set the price This is a 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. Its in good condition, and it RUNS GREAT . This is a driver, and a good daily driver just as it is. It is not a show car, but f youre looking for a restoration project, this car has great potentail. Its in good condition inside and out, and it really runs great. In fact, it runs like a MUCH. MUCH newer vehicle with a lot less miles. It does have some cosmetic flaws and some rust issues, but nothing that cant be repaired. The frame is solid, and body is generally very nice. You can be confident is bidding knowing that we are a licensed and bonded dealer with a 100% feedback rating. The exterior is in good shape. There are no notable dents or dings, and the paint shines. Its a very pale yellow color. The hard top is included, and its in great shape. Unfortunately, the soft top has some tears. We can discuss having a new soft top put on the car if youd like, but the cost would be added to the final auction price (probably in the $400 range for the top). There is some rust at the underside of the doors... a few rust bubbles on the edge of the decklid... ..and at the corner of the trunk lip. The floorboards have significant rust, including holes. The interior is also is good shape. The seats are generally well preserved, and we do have a set of seat covers. The mechanism to move the passenger seat forward is broken. The air conditioning and power windows work. There is an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. The door panels are nice. The 4.5 liter V8 runs very well - remarkably well for a 34 year old car. These Mercedes-Benz power plants never cease to amaze us. It is smooth and powerful. The tires have good very tread all the way around. There is some surface rust under car (and you have already seen the floorboard), but in general, its pretty good under here, and the frame is solid. We believe this is a lifetime Florida car, but we really dont know for sure. The odometer shows 109,713 miles. These are the actual miles on the car. being more than 10 years old, it will be titled as mileage: exempt.
